ever been on holiday as a poor swimmer and gone and drifted out a bit too far on a lilo bed and notice the fucking thing has got a leak and starts to deflate a bit rapid for comfort...making you wonder if you'll get back safely to the beach??
this is what the last couple of games are feeling like....panic settling in...

Big win for Sheffield United- deserved on the 2nd half performance.

Puts pressure on everyone below them now knowing they need to win to keep in touch

Also means that if we lose Monday then we will be in the 6th spot on GD, so that extra goal was in important one in that sense too.

Going to go to the last day for us I think, not really had a result go the way we would have wanted to this week.

Blackburn out of the running now. Realistically 2 spots for 3 teams - with Boro, Sheffield United and us.

Maybe us and Fulham should handshake on a draw as would suit both teams!

I hope they get beat and lose the playoffs esp if its to us. On the other forum they cant stop banging on about us beating them and how we shothoused and cheated. Ive grown a fond dislike for a lot of their fans on there

Forest fans have been whining about that game all over social media since it happened. Genuinely embarrassing reaction, we still get comments about it on the clubs Twitter posts to this day, almost as if they are the first club to ever be wronged. We literally lost a guaranteed playoff spot on a very poor decision against Blackpool and everyone has moved on and rightly so as that’s the game.

Weird group of fans, goodness knows what they would be like if the football league had actually tried to put them out of existence…

In fairness that Blackpool game you reference saw a stonewall penalty not given for the Seasiders.
I get your beef, but I think they have been the best to watch this season and a better team then Bournemouth who rely on solanke.

We had a stonewaller in that game not given as well so thats a bit moot, as well as the aforementioned goal not given, but that’s not really my point. It’s the nature of playing in the championship that decisions go for and against and you move on.

Forest fans are still hung up on that offside decision from that game. It’s just a bit weird

That's the game. We've had our decisions go in our favour at other points of the season too. But that decision v Blackpool is looking worse every day now as those unlikely course of events to take us out of the play offs get a bit likelier.

To be perfectly frank, unless there's a sudden change in our injury fortunes - I really can't see us qualifying for the final anyway. I don't think Adebayo will play for the rest of the season based on his injury last weekend which just compounds our woes.

If Andy carrols season at reading is finished and his contact is completed can’t we take him for a while?

Barnsley must be very, very bad.

Sounds like the police were pathetic all day.

An injury crisis can also create a bit of a siege mentality though, could work both ways

Don’t think our game is going to be a pretty watch for those tuning in on sky later. We are going to be doing all we can to fight and scrap to pick up a point despite probably being well under manned today and failing that doing all we can to not get hammered as GD I guess could still come into it. Fully expecting plenty of complaints about our “style” from the watching neutrals later. Fair warning to you all!

In a strange way I think a point if we were to get it which, I must say given injuries and general disparities between us and Fulham feels very unlikely, doesn’t really change the equation all that much because I cannot see Preston doing us favours against Boro on the final day. Still going to need to go and beat Reading to make it in I feel.

Anyway all ifs buts and maybes, no matter what happens we can be well proud of our efforts this season. Feels like this away day is fair reward for it all this season, should be an enjoyable day!

As expected/feared - Adebayo not present today even amongst the subs. Bradley also not available from last week. Therefore as expected really. I did harbour some faint hopes that Bree may be back as we had not heard too much of his injury but, alas no. Interestingly he’s gone with Onyedinma as the RWB instead of Kioso. So showing some attacking intent at least.

Gone with Jerome/Hylton up top, I’d imagine it’s going to be backs to the wall type of job but I’d have personally gone for Cornick and Jerome for the pressing. We’ve been relatively successful against Fulham when we’ve pressed really high - don’t think a Hylton/Jerome front 2 is really capable of that.

Oh well what will be will be. Come on the Hats!

Campbell injured in the warm up so Potts comes in. Assume Naismith moves into midfield.

Oh dear, we are absolutely shit out of luck at the moment. Assume NJ been walking under ladders or something. Everything going against us at the moment, hopefully creates a bit of a siege mentality for us but it’s a heck of a lot to overcome

Game over just need to be careful with the goal difference now.

Feels like the gods are conspiring against us at the moment, have had no luck with these injuries

Our injury situation is an absolute joke right now - but surely at some point our management have to take some responsibility? It’s not a coincidence the majority are not impact injuries.

It’s muscle injuries from having to play Saturday/Tuesday since January because of the month long covid break. I doubt they have been doing much training if at all in between games.

We are one of the highest pressing teams in the league too which won’t help but it’s a bit of a unprecedented situation that have conspired to reach here.

We’re now level with Millwall’s GD. They were out of it 2 days ago.

Christ on a bike. This is a car crash for Luton. Gives boro and millwall a lifeline - although Luton still favourites with 2 points ahead and a home game against a leaky reading defence.
