Just ran out of horses at the wrong time unfortunately. I think we all thought before this game we would need to beat Reading on the final day so in a way it doesn’t change that but going to be tough to get them recovered from that mentally.

Just totally outgunned today, would have been difficult with a “first 11” let alone what we had to put out.

Just get the feeling we’ve ran our race even though it’s technically in our hands, only so many things can be overcome and I think losing Campbell today in the warm up sort of feels like it’s the straw that broke the camels back (not that I’m saying him being there would have prevented this, just a cumulative thing). Arguably missing out best 3 players in Adebayo, Bree, Campbell.

Fulham on fire. No complaints. We have it in our hands but will fail if we dont win as our foes will all win. Fulham went for that and wont give a shit v Sheff Utd.

I guess the only positive is now you know you have to win really and go for it on Saturday.

Fulham were just very clinical.

The result doesnt change much. We needed a win to be sure even if wed got a draw tonight. The injuries are the disaster.

Yeah i think we all expected to lose today, probably not as heavily as that, but I think we all kind of expected after the Blackpool game that it would come down to whether we could beat Reading or not (or someone could do us favour which unfortunately has not been forthcoming from anyone)

Just not sure who is going to be available as we are now (even more) massively undermanned. Options pretty limited to the group that played today. After the game Jones said despite him being on the bench Cornick wasn't really fit and he isnt even being included in the crop of injured players everyone is talking about. Maybe we will be able to get a few back and Clark making an appearance today is promising but, as poor as Reading have been, its not really a first team we have at the moment.

We'll just have to see what happens, I'll be disappointed to miss out for sure but its been a great season and we have left it all out there. Not much more you can ask as a fan.

Agree. That month off without games really hurt us after with continual games thick and fast. Shame. Would have been nice to see what our best side could have acheived.

But hats off to the squad for us still being in with a shout. Amazing. Before, we lose two or three starters and we'd drop like a rock. Not now. Been a crazy continual non stop chop and change for - what, 2 months?

Latest keeper looked a wet paper bag. But what can we expect, no choice but pick up what we could. Hopefully a few training sessions help.

I think the frustration was coming out there a bit too, but there were a lot of naughty tackles flying in there. The likes of Lockyer and Lansbury know where to put the boot in, but typically are fairly disciplined- they seemed on another level of shithousery today.

That wanker Cairney deserved his with his keepy uppy pisstake. No way he gets away with that on a pitch with Lansbury, Hylton and Lockyer.

He can be thankful Kevin Nichols retired.

I think that those booked deserve credit for no reds. I was certain wed get one and then add a suspension.

Bournemouth/Forest been a great game for the neutral. No goals but a good watch, not the cagey non event jt could have been

Forest probably should have had a penalty so that will be the main talking point so far. Zenura impressive for Bournemouth, shows the embarrassment of riches they have that Jack Stacey isn’t even in the squad and it’s not because of injury! Really should have pushed Fulham for the title with this squad but Forest probably been the better side so far

Agree with that.

Forest look better I think.

Bournemouth seem to win well one week then don’t perform the next .

Bournemouth in the premier league. Meet the new Norwich. Down by Christmas.

There’s a little group of them developing who just keep swapping between the Championship and Premier each season now with Norwich, Watford and Fulham. Nothing against those clubs but to see someone different be successful like Luton would be good.

Agreed. Throw West Brom in that pot too. Although not this season.
If I’m honest I wanted forest up. Quite a few forest fans near me and they are a pretty good bunch ( Luton fans don’t agree I know ). Good support, history and entertaining to watch.

Yeah them too even if it was say a Blackburn that’d be ok.

Should stress though I think it might be obvious when I say someone different would be good that excludes the shit five miles down the road from us. Obvious to say but still worth repeating.

They are going nowhere for some time. No parachute money now so in the same boat as all the other ex prem teams.
It’s a bloody hard league to get out of. Forest fans can testify to that, and countless others.

Forest fans are fine, and would have preferred they go up just for someone else to have a go. The parachute payments are creating clubs like Fulham, Norwich, Bournemouth who just yo yo. At least Forest would have been a different face to it all. Just got a bit weird after the game at our place this season and seem to be carrying that grudge (online in any case).

Bournemouth sort of blew them away second half and value for the win in my mind. Clever free kick but Forest really switched off in my view. You could see it developing as an option and no one reacted. Forest didn’t get going second half and finally the quality Bournemouth had showed.

Just shows what a poor season West Brom have had .

The key is when these PP teams are on a good day they become impossible to stop.

You have to hope they aren’t like West Brom haven’t been for most of the season .

Our game vs Reading on Saturday is the sky game for Saturday. Feels like we’ve never been on tv so much!

Not too keen I’ve got to say, we’ve got over our tv issues but just get the feeling it’s going to be a disappointing day for us.

Me too. Hopefully if it is a let down we see the positives and can consolidate and improve again.

We are light in a few positions and have got where we are on charactor as much as hard work. Be an interesting Summer whatever happens Saturday and if that pans out beyond......... Esp if we somehow win the next four on the bounce ;-)

Seems Reading have some equally bad injuries going off the pre match press stuff from Ince. Going to be without, Swift, Rinomhota, Tom Ince and Yiadom. Meite who I think scored a hat trick against us a few years ago also not fit. All of whom I believe are big players for them. So going to be a battle of reserve sides perhaps.

Jones quite cagey about if anyone will be back fit for us, which in NJ speak I think means there won’t be. Ironically if he came out and said “no no one will be back” I’d believe the opposite such can you trust one of his press conferences!!!

Just a lil joke on Bell. He gonna score the winner at Wembley v Forest. In injury time. After we were 3-0 down at halftime. From an offside spot. After he handled the ball.

Ticket prices are outrageous and fans are treated like farmyard animals, yet are the whole game literally dies without them and the atmosphere.

People should stop paying them but they do which doesn’t help and certainly agree football isn’t in the real world most of the time .

Non league attendances are dramatically up. Tells you something. I love the website non league matters, and reading the non league paper plus the highlights on YouTube down to level 4 or 5.
I think next season I will go to more games at my local team and fall in love with football again. Lichfield city - you will get my money next season. No need to get penalised for not buying a ticket the day before like at Burton where it’s dearer on the day.
