Probably was a red in todays game but one of those some refs would give as a yellow and some a red.

Elijah having a straight up stinker in front of goal my goodness. He must be injured, doesn’t look at all comfortable shooting, almost like he’s afraid to put too much power in the shot

Well if Luton play like that, they’ll be in the play offs without doubt and will have a good shot at getting to Wembley.

Preston should do the lottery this weekend after stealing a point there. Their fans singing “1-0 to the referee” and booing Pelly was totally delusional.

Just absolutely incredible how we haven’t won but that’s what you get for not taking chances. Finally get to 1-0 against 10men and I don’t think I’ve seen us so comfortable in a long time.

Then a penalty for one of those handballs that get given these days on the one foray forward and we are coming away with 1 point when it should be 3. Could even maybe be thankful to have not lost in the end with the chance we gave on a plate to Preston just after the penalty award too. Strange game as we’d have won by 3 or 4 I don’t think there could be any complaints at. Could have really done with the win too given other results last night were pretty good for us and a really tough Burnley game at the weekend.

Boro win at Sheffield United 3-1.

Maybe they will be putting pressure on the Blades?

Carrick done an outstanding job there.

They were hugely under performing under Wilder. All the pre-season predictions had them being right up there so its not that much of a surprising turn around i dont think albeit he had to walk the walk still. Always had a talented squad that just needed to click into place.

Didn't watch it, sounds like it was the same shit we're used to seeing every week.

It certainly wasnt great and pretty fortunate from a PNE perspective, didnt really offer anything of note until a bit of a hopeful looking cross hits Lockyers arm. After that you had a decent spell and maybe could have got another though so i guess some heart can be taken as that does take some level of spirit with 10 men. Fernandez was a bright spot for you though i felt especially early.

Take a bow Jordan Clark. What a player hes turned into.
Yep, he has gone up a level under Edwards undoubtedly, extremely clever player. Im really hoping hes not one whose contract is up at the end of the season, tough to know with how we deal with contracts. I'd have thought he must be close.

Really starting to look like Edwards doesnt fancy Campbell at all. Big call if so.

They are 2 different sorts of midfield players so you cannot just straight swap them without changing something else. Nakamba is a pure DM sitting in front of the defence whereas Campbell is this high pressing bundle of energy who roves around the midfield.

Edwards clearly wants at least one of the midfield to be that sitting DM type so he’s competing with Clark who is probably our best player at this moment and Pelly whose engine is important to the balance, for a spot. He also clearly wants players who are good on the ball and Campbell is and was great when we were this high pressing playing on the turnover side, but can be hit or miss with that when trying to build more controlled possession which I think js the direction Edwards wants to head in. Currently Campbell is the odd man out.

I actually hope he does start against Burnley because it’s a perfect game for him as we are unlikely to have a lot of the ball and will probably want to press Burnley high. But I think he is more like to come in for Pelly who is due a rest rather than Nakamba as can’t see Edwards deviating from wanting that DM spot covered.

Will be interesting to see what Edwards does actually, hope he’s not wedded to his own principles as we’ve had a lot of success the last 2 years at home when pressing the shit out of these play out of the back teams. I guess depends if we have the energy to do it but I see the game as a bit of free hit for us given how Burnley are doing, I say dial the press up to 11 and have at it and Campbell is the perfect player for that

Spot on. Shame we dont have the mobility to go with two centre halves and accomodate him in front of Nakamba.

In general. Maybe not versus Burnley!!!!!

That was a winner rather out of keeping with the rest of the game!

Think if anyone deserved to win it was Cardiff.

Just always feel Reading are so flat and lack any dynamic ability.... tough season ahead somehow 15th?

Hull away, they've picked up, hopefully the Burnley defeat hasn't ended our good away form.

Evans & Whiteman suspended.

I'd pick:

Woodman
Diaby, Lindsay, Hughes
Browne, McCann, Ledson, Fernandez
Parrott
Cannon, Delap

They seem to have a very aging team particularly attack wise.

You’d doubt Preston could be as poor in the second half. Have to hope those misses won’t haunt us but it’s a familiar tale for every fan - don’t take your chances you’ll be punished eventually
Ah, I can tell you aren’t familiar with our home performances.

Great first half again. Cant argue with the Pelly over Campbell pick. Love them both but Pelly is very good on the ball good vision and strength of an Ox.

Word on Osho..... Wow......Has he come on or what.

They were slagging him of last week.

We were excellent. Can take a lot from that. Just need to find our clinical edge. Probably the better side against the runaway best Champ side for years.

He has a mistake or two in him but as part of the three he can step out. Plays with his heart on his sleeve. He had improved dramatically and has room for more. We dont have the luxury of finished articles at this level. We have to polish them ourselves.

Extremely frustrating to have not come away with a point there. Not had a great deal of luck in the last 2 games really. Played very well and had the best side in the league absolutely rattled at times especially in the first half.

Should have been 1-0 by half time but Adebayo missed another great chance, bounced just in front of him it seemed so not quite as easy as it looked perhaps but to beat top sides you ha e to score those. Didn’t create quite enough second half but neither did they up until the penalty. Looked another of those harsh but “by the letter of the law” handballs like midweek. Ref didn’t give us anything all game but Lockyer shouldn’t have carried on at the ref, needed to get on with it. Been outstanding this season so will be a miss.

Pelly fully deserved his man of the match. Absolutely outstanding today

He has improved dramatically but still as you say has a mistake in him but we should seriously sign another player to cover or rotate as this would ease the pressure. Don't think Sonny is coming back anytime soon?

I don't recall the days, but my husband says Luton suffered under Terry Westley which goes to show recruitment for a manager must be a core requirement than any port in a storm appointment!
