Australia will certainly chase this. they're out of batsman, but have to remain pessimistic

Cracking will. Everyone has contributed, and captained brilliantly. Great team spirit too. Delighted

Done with ease, as I said it would be when the total was put on the board.

Never in doubt, and a faultless performance.

Well done England.

Excellent performance by a young, energetic and positive England side that were way too good for Dad's Army over the last four days.

Also a huge well done to the England selectors for sticking to their guns and long term strategy after some ridiculous knee jerk reactions from the Windies tour.

Genuine question, why is England vs Australia being held in Wales?

It's not as if we don't have enough top cricket venues in the country....

I don't think a Welshman has played in the side since 2005 though? (Simon Jones, anyone since?)

Wonderful performance!

Everyone played a part and to win with a day to spare is even better!

Still can't believ the doubt and negativity yesterday. There had been nothing to suggest anything but what we're watching would happen. Nothing

Okay, I get it. You were right. But 'there had been nothing to suggest anything what we're watching would happen'. You make it sound like we just skittled Bangladesh and it was all but a matter of time. Great perforance anyway, you will be pleased to know - I'm thoroughly overjoyed at that entire performance.

I said Aussies at 8/1 to get a lead...they collapsed...I haven't watched more than an hour of today at work...they collapse...I say it will be hard...they get a hammering.

England need me in this series.

Still question marks over the top 4 for me but you can't argue about that result. Really good disciplined fast bowling from the quicks. Mark Wood is good for this team I think

The new GM Shane Watson line of bats

I'm really not. It was EXACTLY how I said it would be yesterday. It's not like we suddenly bowled out of our skin or got lucky. it was the tough pitch to bat on described yesterday, and we comfortably won. It as just a matter of time

The sort of performance we out in deserved far more than to pessimistic fans we get in this country. I expect the same tiresome 'we're only 700 runs in front' come lords. Try to enjoy it

Have a word with yourself Lad ;)

Watson is just about the vilest gobshite in the Convict's side.

As Vaughny said on commentary today LBW should now be renamed Leg Before Watson :)
I heard that, spat my drink out

And agree with Watson, when Australia were battering us he earned himself the reputation of a cockend with how he acted.

Although, I won't be happy if he's dropped next test, it's too our advantage as Broad and Jimmy have him absolutely all over the place at the moment.

Root also had the highest score in the match again. The eighth time in his 28 Test match career. Bradman is the only one who has a higher percentage."

Thats quite esteemed company

I think Watson's finished as a test cricketer now. I'd be amazed if he is picked again.
I sincerely hope not ! Could do with them picking the gurning twat for the rest of the summer at least .

Reports in Aus say he would be given two tests if he failed Mitch Marsh would take his place...they need to change it up now.

Looks like Haddin might be out for personal reasons..

But Starc fit which is some good news for the Aussies.

SSN thinks that Haddin will miss out for personal reasons...some young lad I've never heard of to replace him.

Interesting. Starc looks to be fit

Young lad? He's 29...

I dunno why Wade's not here though. Is he injured? Nevill's always been a very good batsman but I'm not sure how good his keeping is.
