Well the Lincoln Loco is building up a head of steam now. Looks like we finally got the result some of our performances have deserved.

Only worry is Woodyard scoring two might make him more attractive to teams looking for a midfielder. Need to hang on until after the window shuts.

WHAT A KICK IN THE BALLS. :hb:

Lost to a rag and bones club who play a fucking air raid horn over their tannoy whenever they get a corner, how fucking embarassing and tinpot is that? Who the fuck does that?

Ok Lincoln you won but you are a dirty team and you had a typical L2 ref on your side.

Keith Curle banged on about how happy he was to sign Hallam Hope, well what the fuck does he actually do? He's utter shite!!

100% agree re. Hope. What's the obsession with a forward that doesn't score goals? Yeah he runs about a lot, but Shaun Miller is a much better player and actually scores a few goals.

Honestly he offers nothing anywhere, now he has to be compensated for as he will probably be on a decent wage. Miller should defo be starting.

Bennett doesn't score goals either. Shaun Miller started last week and did fuck all. Hallam Hope looked more threatening in his sub appearance.

Fact is none of our strikers score goals which is worrying. Fortunately we have goals in other areas (for now)

That's fair, but Bennett has offered a lot in the games I've seen, though he probably should've scored at least one of his many chances. Miller wasn't great last week but he's an intelligent player and has goals in him. When Hope goes through on goal I have little confidence in him.

Agree that at least one of them needs to start firing soon.

Two things Carver, we don't play an air raid siren over the tannoy when we get a corner, people actually bring them in and crank them manually to make the noise. Just adds to the (very good) atmosphere at SB.

Secondly, the ref denied us a blatant pen before we scored when Green was shoved in the back. Your team were time wasting from the first minute! We all play a bit of gamesmanship but you got your just deserts in the end and the Lincolnshire sausage stood out erect over the limp chipalata from Cumbria.

I wouldn't be against giving Cosgrove a run of games. The worst he can do is score 0 goals like the other 3

The best thing about this Lincoln result is that there isn't even a match thread for Grimsby v Wycombe for Lincoln fans (ok, Impish) to come on and take the piss. :bg1:

Why can Curle not just pick a first team and stick with it? I can't believe that Nicky Adams was dropped and Luke Joyce left out after doing nothing wrong, just so he can play his favourites Hope and Liddle who are both useless and not good enough.

He needs to get a grip and fast because the fans are going to be on his back soon if he doesn't change his stubborn ways.

Played pretty much as we did against Morecambe except the chances went in today.
Seen both home games since we got back and both teams' players went down holding their faces, is this the done thing now in league 2?
How both lino( right in front of me) and the ref missed the shove with both hands in the back of Green is beyond me!
Thought once we were in front ( it was a pretty even game til then imho) the Carlisle players seem to lose their discipline more as each goal went in.
Look forward to hearing Curle's comments...

I actually thought Carlisle were decent going forward and at the start of the second half were causing us problems. It was a good time to get the second and in the end the margin of the victory was about right. It's always nice beating that nice man Mr Curle.

Yes I'm afraid it is, thanks to the likes of Wycombe, they started this thing and many other teams sadly followed their example.

Danny Hylton of Luton is the worst.

Why? Has he been a dick to your team in the past?

We lost and got beat 4-1.

I have every right to be negative! It's not like we won and I'm picking out little things to moan about, that's you.

Another good performance. But wow Carlisle coming to a side 3rd from bottom and time wasting...shows where they see themselves this season. On that showing it's between them, Morecambe and Crawley for the wooden spoon. Good support though.

One worrying thing right near the end of the game, a smoke bomb came over the stand and landed on the pitch near our keeper, not good at all.

Not as worrying as conceding 4 goals.

A good result as I was, ironically enough given the title of this thread, eating Lincolnshire sausages at a BBQ!

What? Why you little FUCK!

We had to try and adapt to the style of play usually associated with conference teams like your style in the hope of fighting fire with fire and no it didnt work because well we are looking at playing in L1 as we are used to playing it on the deck on our quality pitch, not being some horrible hoof and hope team like you who want to stay in L2 for another decade.

When you come up here we will pass you off the pitch and you won't stand a chance. We are very much like Barcelona at home.

Just seen the goals. Some quality finishes, for 2 of Lincoln's goals and ours.

And that's an absolute sitter from Bennett in the first half. Can't be missing them!

Sorry but I just hate it when little trolls take the mick out of us right after we just been hammered by a smaller club who overall are typically doing better than us.

Just reminds us of how shit we actually are as a club.

Wouldn't say you're a shit club. Good following away from home and there's positives to take such as scoring away from home with 10 men. I'd say you've got enough to stay up if I'm honest then you can re-evaluate and go again next summer. We are a smaller club than the likes of yourselves and Newport but we just hope the 8000 home fans can play a part when you big boys come to town.

We are a smaller club than the likes of yourselves and Newport but we just hope the 8000 home fans can play a part when you big boys come to town.

Our club is owned by 3 old men who are more like custodians than owners and they had the chance to sell the club to a group of local business people who had a good vision for the club and would provide a good steady investment for it, but then at the last minute they refused to sell it and claimed there was another person wanting to buy our club who turned out to be some dodgy Syrian guy and that went on for 2 years before they finally said no to him. So we are stuck with these stubborn old fuckers and their only ambition is to keep us in the football league when really we should be an established L1 club and the way they run our club is a joke and it gets worse every season.

As for your 8000 fans well done, just the question I ask now is where were they when you were doing shit?

Our last home league gate against Aldershot when we meekly surrendered our FL status was just under 8000, and that was on the back of us getting one point out of a possible thirty odd to stay in the 92.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
IT is probably why Curle has never got a team promoted in his past because he never picks a settled strong 11 and seems determined to think about his opposition more than making them be bothered about his teams.

Mind why is it at Lincoln our managers make idiotic team changes before games?? I still remember that god-awful one by Wiulkinson when he moved the only tall player in our defence up front for the game vs a John Beck team to give us 'attack options'

really we should be an established L1 club?

Why?

Just glancing at your attendances, in recent L1 history you've been one of the mid-lower attending teams in that league. You weren't one of the best in L2 last year either despite having a good year.

Like plenty of other fair to middling clubs in L2, an occasional adventure into League One sounds about right for your level?

I don't see Carlisle in League Two and think 'crikey, something must have gone terribly wrong there'.
