Loftus Rd????? Always been one of my favourites, decent atmosphere, stands so close to the pitch and a decent view, what's not to like. I agree with Withdean though by far the worst I've been.

As for decent atmosphere, they were silent when we played there on both occasions (1-0 them, 2-4 us).

Really like Villa, Ipswich and Frankfurt and Darmstadt for various reasons. Stade de Suisse was up there in Bern too.

Worst - Dagenham, Scunthorpe, Walsall, Morecambe - all boring as shit

Worst - Withdean. A mention for Brackley in non-league, their ground looks like it was put together on a budget of 35 quid.

Morecambes new ground is a very good shout, apart from it being covered terracing in the away end its a truely awful ground.

Villa Park is my favourite UK ground. Also really enjoyed going to Carrow Road, White Hart Lane and The City Ground.

On the flip side, Accrington Stanley. Fucking hell. That stand down the side is embarassing. Luton is a khazi too.

Was good when I went, but when on the upper tier I was near the middle and the bottom tier was ok as well, that being said we were promoted there once and won the other, a championship game 2-0. So that probably helped swing things a little.

Yeah for new builds the ones I mentioned are dire.

Prerfer the older school grounds more so, hence why I have never really taken to our new place as much as I understand how much it has benefitted us

Old Trafford and Emirates are the best I've seen Coventry at.
I loved White Hart Lane too.

Worst due to the away ends Gillingham and Yeovil.

I was in a "restricted view" (tinpot) seat in the middle of the upper tier for one of the games but thankfully all that it restricted was the opposite stand. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the rest of the day out when we smashed QPR 2-4 and even the day out when we lost 1-0 in a Tuesday night replay, but the stadium was shite and so was the atmosphere, although to be expected to some degree I guess given we were 0-4 up within 60 minutes in the Saturday game and our fans were pretty awesome so I would not have heard them anyway.

Part of my judgement was based on cost compared to facilities and QPR, Swindon and Brighton's old stadium are/were all awful grounds considering the price they charge/charged. The Withdean was by far and away the worst as I am sure anyone who has been there will agree. We won 2-4 when I went on a Friday night and I did not even know we had scored 2 of our goals until the announcer said we had...£28 eh?

Really like the grounds of Borussia Dortmund and Eastleigh.
Dislike away ends at Port Vale and Villa Park. They both smell of piss.

Luton is the worst, just horrible place, no leg room and depressing.

I loved Hull's ground when we played there or Wembley/Olympiastadion Berlin/Bernabeu are the best.

Best: Westfalstadion, simply awesome.
Best in UK: The Emirates. Incredible stadium but very modern. At this level, I like Deepdale.
Worst: Springfield park or Saltergate, both gone but crap. Of existing stadia, Swindon's away end is a bloody disgrace!

Port Vale has to be one of the worst for me, depressing ground.

Very run down looking, horrible yellow seats and a half built stand. No atmosphere either and everyone seems so spread out.

In Vale's defence, Vale park was originally designed to be much, much bigger. The Wembley of the North IIRC.

I wonder if they planned to leave half a stand seat-less. :ffs:

It was massive but not the 80,000 first planned just the 50k. The half built stand spiralled in cost as they added an extra row of boxes (hence the two levels) and then found a load of mine shafts underneath hence so far it's cost more than the whole of Notts County's ground did to redevelop!

As for a Crewe fan talking about atmosphere... Had to chuckle at that one!
