Agree - it was wank.

Atmosphere was shit, the stadium was alright.

Good day out - but no-one was up for the JPT enough, it was far better for our PO Final vs Hull.

Went there for an England game last year. Never again. I think me and my Dad were the only people in the ground who didn't take part in the cringeworthy 10 minute Mexican wave. It was a worse atmosphere than our JPT game and that's saying something. Only worth it for a playoff final, agree it was good in 08.

The only time for an England game I felt there being a good atmosphere was when we got knocked out Croatia. After we scored the goal which we believed sent us to the Euro's was brilliant and then we fucked it!

it always surprises me when I hear folk say that Workington's ground is so great. And that's a bit harsh on Wembley.
If you have never seen the sun set over the west stand at Workington you have never lived, I wonder how many marriage proposals have been made at a late summer mid week match v Guiseley .... hundreds I reckon !

That's excellent. I can see, now, why Workington was preferred to Wembley.

Wembley is much more mundane.

Those cars that people have in Wemberley: where do they park them? They must just constantly drive around and around
