I'm hearing Morcambe's centre backs have cracked a sicky for Saturday.

Why have they made Billy captain? Surely Rakish is the obvious choice, as the inspiration of the whole town.

Get your money on Hartlepool to go down. Moore must be having a laugh surely by putting Paynter in as captain?

I think I'll be asking you guys for a hand next week, as I'm anticipating lots of applications from worldwide fans asking to join the Rabas.

Go Rakish :bravo:

edit - btw, I didn't see a Pools match tread, so sort it out Poolies! Also, poor Habbinalan has already lost his bet after just 60 mins of the new season.

I'm still in shock that we had 2 forwards who actually scored today.

The cream always rises to the top.

Rakish Bingham; a kind man, a gentle lover, an exquisitely gifted pianist and a goalscorer extraordinaire. This is his world and not only are we just living in it, we're grateful to merely walk the same ground as him.

Anyone see the Hartlepool highlights on the new FL Show?

Billy Paynter fluked that opening goal, and the celebration was a bit weird. However, Paynter's little scoop chip into King Rakish for the 2nd was delightful.

I was sat in the Rakish Bingham Stand at Mansfield today.

Someone told me they've retired his old shirt number as well.

Quite happy to see him score. I rated him at times, but he was a wimp when he came to winning the ball haha. 16/17 goals for him there this year easily.

By 'year' I assume you mean by the end of 2015, yes?

His quickness has impressed people here ... as I've said before , we are comparing him with absolute rubbish we have had over the last 5 years . ... it sounds like Ronnie is getting the best out of Paynter also

I think that you'll find that I've won my bet - first of the season? :£ for 1FF. I had a senior moment when I saw this and had to double check that my confidence in Rakish wasn't a recent U Turn. Trapdoor the second half of the bet is still open.

"...@Trapdoor bets Habbinalan £5 that Rakish Bingham won't score in League 2 this season. If he scores in the Championship :)ffs:) Trapdoor pays £10 and if he gets loaned out and scores in non-league then Habbinalan pays £5....."

It don't matter how a player played for other teams but how he plays for your team that matters :2thumb:

Thought Bingham and Paynter worked really well together yesterday, it looks like they have already clicked as a partnership, lots of intricate passing caused us quite a few problems. We did go to sleep for the 2 goals we conceded though.

cufc17 - sorry, can't quote you it seems(don't know why), but Paynter's goal isn't a fluke. I mean he jumped to head the ball home didn't he? Agreed on the chip for the second goal though.

Well yeah, but his reaction after it hit the net says it all, he surely didn't mean to place it in the far corner. Maybe fluke was the wrong word, perhaps 'not what he intended'?

Billy Paynter fluked that opening goal, and the celebration was a bit weird. However, Paynter's little scoop chip into King Rakish for the 2nd was delightful.

The celebration came from our pre-season at an Army camp. On a run when the trainer shouted 'grenade' the whole squad had to hit the deck and leopard crawl. They just adapted it as a goal celebration.

I didn't see Paynter's goal as a fluke. The ball went wide to Bingham (who else) and Billy screamed for a cross, shook off two defenders and got his goal.

The mighty Bing could have had three.

It seems like Billy's found his club. The story from our end is that Curle treated him like shit and we bought his contract out.

How do Morecambe look this year? I know it's only one game, but they (and Accrington too) are so unpredictable imo, but you just never know what to expect.
