You are lying, it's him!

I've got a source that told me that this guy is your source.

Unless they have a guaranteed replacement in mind, I fail to see the benefit of this. Why let him spend all that money?

He may have been a queg with the media but he had a decent approach towards the game, shame to see people get sacked.

I've got visions of Bilo turning off his phone & laptop being pissed at the result and watching boxsets all day before going to bed totally unaware of Brenda's departure.

Not surprised to be honest...I thought he deserved another season in the summer but it just seems the bad end of last season carried into this one.

I get losing Suarez, Sterling, Gerrard and injuries to Sturridge was never going to help....But after 3 years that defence was getting worse. What was going on the training ground? I can't remember a worse 4 centre backs at the club and Moreno was the only left back?!? Constant change in formations and I never understood why he didn't go to the diamond...last time we played with that...we dismantled spurs at the lane last season.

I will be shocked if FSG don't have somebody lined up. There must be something to the whole Klopp thing.

I wish the guy best of luck and I'll applaud him when he returns to Anfield with another team. But I wonder what are the season targets now? New manager has loads of new players to gel in as wellnas himself...He hasn't had a pre season and has players he probably doesn't want! Is this season going to be a write off as new guy will need time and rebuild?

According to my same reliable source Jurgen Klopp is the new Liverpool manager.

Should have happened at the end of last season. Mind-boggling that they let him spend all that money only to sack him in October.

Saying that, it's clearly the right decision. If i had to sum him up i would say that Rodgers is a decent manager, but a naive and inexperienced one and it showed in the last couple of years. He seemed to abandon his "principles" when things got bad and that is never a good sign, and when you take into consideration how much money he's spent on average players, there was no way he was gonna last. Shame as i liked the guy, yes he had an annoying habit of using superlatives at all times but i've seen far worse things from other managers, it was hardly the end of the world.

Lots of reports are pointing to Klopp as the next manager. I very much doubt that the owners sacked Rodgers without approaching another manager first, i would obviously be happy with either Klopp or Carlo (who wouldn't?!). Saying that, i would prefer Klopp as he is more used to managing a club fighting against the odds rather than super-clubs like Ancelotti.

Feels weird that we might be close to getting one of those two. We have an opportunity here and we need to pounce on it because i'm pretty sure we won't be faced with a similar choice again.

Watch us hire Koeman now.

No chance of Koeman going to Liverpool.

Yeah. I remember Swansea fans saying exactly the same about Rodgers. Don't worry though, I really can't see them sacking Rodgers to hire Koeman. From a progression perspective it would make little sense.

Why not? He finished a mere 2 points behind you after you lot nicking all his top performing players. Better manager.

And has CL experience. Knocked us out a few years ago with Benfica and really troubled then-champions Barca.

Obviously i wouldn't go for him , but i do think he's more proven than Rodgers.

That really would top the Saints anger towards Liverpool!

I'd only imagine Koeman being approached if the more obvious Klopp or Ancelloti turns it down.

Howe rated at 30/1 outsider or thereabouts, I bet the majority of Liverpool's fanbase has never heard of him.

I said it would make little sense to go for him after Rodgers, not that he wasn't a better manager. He would be more of a risk to the clubs progression than both Ancelotti and Klopp.

Thank God he's finally gone. He made some very bad decisions, don't know what the hell was going on in his head. I wish him the best of luck but Liverpool will be much better off without him. Hoping for Klopp but we'll see.

Surely any top level manager like Klopp or Ancelloti, if he is to take on hefty work required at Liverpool, would demand pretty unrestricted control. Otherwise what's the point, he'll just have the same incoherent recruitment dumped on him to fix.

Surely only a less proven manager going there because Liverpool is a step up from where he is currently (like Rogers was), would accept those terms and restrictions.

Yup, hence the sarcasm of my previous post. Unless Klopp and Ancelotti (the latter especially, given that he has substantial experience of managing at the absolute top level) can negotiate vastly improved personal input in the transfer system employed at the club, I really can't see either being interested beyond an initial meeting. It wouldn't be quite so bad if the system hadn't shown itself to be a complete and utter failure beyond a couple of examples.

Not on TFF you don't.

In fact I can't remember anyone who seriously thought Rodgers wouldn't leave to join a club like Liverpool. After Martinez Swans fans didn't trust any fucker to stay put.

Slightly shocked, as I felt he'd get more time but the timing makes sense with the international break now upon us.
