Klopp's agent in the summer expressly said he doesn't want to be in sole control of transfers - http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ving-to-the-premier-league-his-agent-revealed

Perhaps he doesn't like the current committee structure but I highly doubt control of transfers would be the make or break for him. Maybe adapting to a DoF or something.
It's one thing to want to micromanage the technicalities of a deal itself, but it's another to want control over who is signed (or not).

What about Brendan? Where do we see him rocking up next? How far has his stock fallen and what level of club do we expect him at? Would Spurs be a viable option, hypothetically, or is he below that tier now?

Supposedly that's not really too different from what's currently in place & what Rodgers had though, is it?

Nah, not according to Rodgers anyway. If that's the only obstacle then I can't see Klopp not signing.

I don't see why Spurs would sack Pochettino for Rodgers right now. Spurs will challenge for top four. If Chelsea don't turn it around, I think they'll finish 4th.

I meant in relation to the size of club that'd be interested in signing Rodgers. What level is he at? Would Spurs hire him if the situation stood, or is he below that?

I'd say he'd be ideal for a mid-table team that have aspirations to get into Europe. You can rule out the top five or six, but a team like Newcastle, Southampton, West Ham or Tottenham would be well suited.

Koemann to Liverpool, Rodgers to Southampton. Rodgers finally achieves his dream.

If anyone can fuck this up then its Liverpool. Or if Bayern offers him a deal now to take over next season.

Urgh. It'd be so out of character for Liverpool to make a good decision that the fact it might happen makes me sick.

I think this transfer committee stuff won't be the stumbling block in our negotiation, it will be Bayern.

I don't think that Rodgers will take the Sunderland hot seat as some might have suggested.
He has said he want to take a break from football and I think he will do that, then he will follow Moyes and go abroad, perhaps not Spain but I doubt he will stay in England.

I think it's disgusting not one single Liverpool fan has voiced their support for Steven to come back and lead. For shame.

Klopp's been pretty disparaging about Bayern Munich and their role in German football, I'd be surprised if he went there. Of course the chance of managing a team that can win everything very easily might change that stance but Klopp seems to be fairly principled.

Was watching RedmenTV earlier and one of the lads on there said that it would needle fans of the other big clubs in the league that Liverpool managed to snare Klopp as for a change it would be someone they themselves would be overjoyed in getting. Not counting my chickens just yet, Liverpool are still very capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, and have shown that on multiple occasions; but it would be fucking fantastic if Klopp were to come, for the comedy value alone he is gold! :D

The Liverpool - United rivalry can truly be reignited as the fans go tonwar over who has the mentalist manager.

I have to say I do like a bit of LVG, he is a bit mad isn't he. Liked him since he did that mental kick on the sideline all these years ago. :D

RedmenTV is mental - I had a friend who used to link me to all their videos. Needless to say we aren't friends anymore.

Klopp to Liverpool is pretty exciting though. Van Gaal, Klopp, and Mourinho all in the same league - what's not to like?
