The Williams is / was the stand to your right Wilko. The Dolman ( stand to your left) will be finished as will the far end as per the pics above.
You will be in the same stand as the season just finished but on the other side of it if you come to the Gate again in the Championship.

Is this thread being moved to the championship section or will be have to start a new one once the new season commences?

CiderUp messaged me the other day about it - and I can move it to the Championship section, but I'll do it once it's actually settled in that we're in the Championship

Cheers AS....although you may gatecrash the party yet!!

I hope so. I couldn;t make the AG game this season, but really enjoyed my first visit to Bristol the season before. Had great banter pre-match in some really cool old pub whilst watching the 6 nations egg chasing. Also funny to watch the kids chasing each other around the park en route to the ground!

If it's not a screen, I can't see the point in it TBH.
Great overhead pic from OTIB. It shows exactly how far back the new West stand is going.

Ah - it seems they have started the cladding on the Dolman roof.

Looking good.

Certainly makes the Williams look tiny in comparison, the new Williams is going to be massive.

Agreed, it does look out of place now. The stadium is going to look extremely modern once the Williams is levelled though.
I guess the building going in the Williams / Atyeo corner is part of the next phase as is knocking down the old Hireite building, club shop and the house on the end of the row of houses on Ashton Rd? That and removing that bloody pillar in the Dolman? I would imagine there will be some nervous onlookers when that is finally removed?

I believe that is one of the screens. From the shots and vids by BS, we've got 2 corner screens in the new south stand and one outside. The one outside is going to be the main pierce of the walkway toward the corner of the South Stand/new Williams. :bg:

Proper job mucker.

I thought the only internal screen was going on top of the Atyeo? Obviously I hope you're correct as that would be gert lush!

Really? Awesome :D

Like CU, I was under impression there was going to be a screen on top of the Atyeo, and two outside the ground.

This will look pretty good if true!

Excuse my ignorance/laziness, what will be the capacity once the redevelopment is complete? And what do you reckon the demand will be like on the back of all the momentum gained as a result of promotion? Always had City in a similar bracket to ourselves in terms of having the catchment area and potential to pull in some sizeable crowds despite a lack of any top flight history in my living memory.

27,000 but the top of the new side stand being built this coming season once finished will only be open when demand requires so should still have a good feel even when not full. No idea about demand for tickets in all honesty.

As Hodge says, we will be up to 27,000 for 2016/17 but will be at around 16,500 capacity next season while the new West stand is constructed. That will, unfortunately, limit away tickets. As for demand, the club have set a ceiling for ST's at 12,500 and they've pretty much all gone. I believe there are up to 2,000 potd tickets available and around 1500 tickets for away supporters but I would imagine that figure is pretty fluid in that we may be able to make more tickets available for visitors thereby less home tickets and vice versa.
There have been two problems this season. Firstly actually getting home tickets which have been like gold dust at times and secondly we currently do not have the facility for away potd tickets so they have to be purchased in advance. That has tripped a few visitors up TBH.

Not 100%, but it looks like they could well be screens.

And two screens inside?!

Or are they 'boxes' of some sort?!

I reckon they're just blanking cladding which COULD be jumbotrons at some point in the future. seems an awful waste of space to me. Looking at the plans, it appears to be at the back of the internal pub!

Interesting, cheers. Maybe something to revisit in a year's time then. For some reason I had it in my head that it was all due to be completed by the start of next season.

Nice try Rammy. Fancy a chat about 'bottle' instead? :fish:
It's actually informative for our new away visitors as they may be unaware of the changes to the Gate!

Just read a message from our old Mucker Arn that EVERY SINGLE corporate box has been sold for season 2016 /17 from the plans. That's damn impressive marketing by the club considering they haven't even started building them yet and the cheapest is supposedly £28,000 for the season.
