A different view of where we are at the mo. The Williams does look crap in this pic and very dated.

It's hard to picture how incredibly big the New Williams is going to be by that picture alone - but the new South Stand is looking great!

It's certainly difficult to comprehend but it won't be long now.

I have sat in the Williams for most of my time as a BCFC supporter, and i can tell you it's a great stand: BUT I HATE THE GOD DAMN POLES HOLDING THE ROOF UP!!!!! The amount of action you miss is incredible!
I'd assume they'll be no poles in the South Stand, where i'm sitting next season lol.

What's that on the front of the Dolman roof?

And the front of the Dolman is going to be done by the start of next season correct?

Don't really see why they took it out halfway through the season, they've done bugger all to it since!

I can see that cladding having a dirty great 'Bristol Sport' or preferably 'Ashton Gate Bristol' sign written on it.

It almost looks photoshopped
Now you say that, it does!
You know how Forest have the 'Brian Clough stand' on the front of their big stand or Man U have 'Old Trafford Manchester' on theirs, I would love to see 'ASHTON GATE BRISTOL' in massive letters emblazoned on the front of the Dolman, it would look brilliant IMHO.

Have you started work on the interior of the Dolman yet? Is that stand supposed to be finished for the start of the new season, or is it going to be like it is now, with the temporary stairs and reduced capacity?

Yes bud, they have started the Dolman interior and have put the concrete and piling on at the front but can't install it until the pitch is moved. That, I believe, can start after the rugby on Wednesday. The Williams demolition can start then as well AFAIK.

That black thing on the Dolman really needs something in it soon, it looks rather odd in photo's currently.

The Atyeo stand Dazza, the end nearest the park. Depending upon numbers, the whole stand can be made available, 4330 seats. Away fans are in there this season as well but it's shared with home fans due to the new Williams stand build. Away fans will be on the right hand side of this pic with around 1600 seats available.

Is it actually coming down today?
I would imagine a bit of remedial works will need to be done first electric, water, gas to be disconnected/capped!

I should think you're right RCM. There would be quite a lot of preparatory work needed before we actually see the Williams levelled. I think the clubs notice of 'demolition is today' means the process starts today rather than it's being downed today. I may be wrong though.

Watched the rugger last night, the Dolman cladding looks fantastic. Especially under floodlights!

I'm looking forward to having a Bristol Club in the Division. Always a great night out, so that will be booked in for later on in the Season. I also think they will do very well, even if Cotterill is a bit of a prat!
