Totally agree but my point is that the modern day S82 mob need to get back in the SS and (once the Williams mob have fooked off to sleep in the West stand) those left will be up to make some noise!
I still object to being called a 'modern fan' by someone who was sucking his mums' tit when I was doing the 'singing' thing!

Stop getting so offended and worked up by one throwaway comment that wasn't even personally aimed at you, I'm not a fucking idiot mate.
Where did I call you 'an idiot'?
All I have been saying is that S82 / the EE'ers are doing nothing different to what we did years ago and that moving in to the SS next season to lead us older fans (with our kids / the next generation) makes sense to improve the atmosphere and that we have ALL been inconvenienced with the rebuild.
What pisses me off is that the club think S82 deserves special treatment when the atmosphere (understandably) has been crap during the rebuild yet some pertain to be 'uber' fans. There are 15,000 people that have been 'inconvenienced' during the rebuild yet the cheapest seats are the only ones moaning!

Anyway then fellers - let's nip this in the bud and get back on track with another excellent shot taken from yesterday's game.

The only downside is that it was taken from the Atyeo - could have been one of the super 'uber' fans for all we know!

I sit in the SS so the cap fits doesn't it? I'm not an 'uber' fan that lives in the Atyeo after all. That's where the 'uber' fan lives now after all.

I sit in the Dolman so the cap fits with me as well. I've already said that the Dolman is the worst in the ground for atmosphere.

For what it's worth the comment was definitely not aimed at you. I know enough about you from reading your posts on here and OTIB for ages that you are passionate and definitely not a (how should I put it without causing offence), "happy clapper" type. As I initially said, I stole the "modern day fan" comment from an OTIB poster, who made the point better than I did. Fortunately for him he managed to escape your wrath!

Anyway, I'll explain what I meant to clear things up. When I used the term I was thinking more of the people who I am immediately amongst in the Dolman. These are the same people and faces I can remember being around even as recently as say, circa 2007. At that time, yes we were doing well but the noise from the Dolman and fans around me was always excellent. I appreciate this still wouldn't come close to what it was like in your day, but it was still part of an overall atmosphere that was the best in the Championship, there's no doubt about that in mine, and most City fans minds. It remained pretty good throughout our slow decline, up until the last couple of years.

Now unfortunately the same fans around me just don't seem to have that in them anymore. The best that can be mustered up nowadays is a half hearted "Come on you reds" on a corner. I think what the fuck has gone wrong for that to have happened, even last year when we were flying it was the case. The stand and personnel has mostly stayed the same, so the only thing I can put it down to is that's what many football fans are like in the modern day. Apologies that this caused offence.

No offence taken mate and none meant at all.
We are all City when it comes down to it and want what's best for OUR club. Unfortunately, we all get older and need the next group to take the lead. We will follow but it's your time now and not ours anymore. We have the next generation to look after and one day you lot will feel the same as this old bugger.
The passion's still there, in droves, but we have to do right by the younger ones. They will be our heart beat when I'm in the Williams, asleep with the rest of the old brigade. ;)

Ciderup it's a common misconception that EE/Atyeo chaps have asked for cheaper tickets - they never have: the club have given them cheaper tickets because they've by and large had the worst views and facilities. In general, they want to be bought in line with the rest of the ground so this stick to beat them with can't be used.

They are essential at AG and should be put in a great place in the ground to encourage the rest of the ground to get involved. Away supporters should be stuck far away from the action.

The club are beginning to take on board suggestions to improve the atmosphere such as introducing a stoke style standing/sitting split at away games

I'm not saying they shouldn't but not if the VAST majority are ignored as they are at the moment. It's all about the east enders / S82 as far as I can see and that's plain wrong IMHO. Assist them by all means but don't ignore the rest, that's all I'm saying.
There was a time, not long ago, that the club were thinking of putting them in the upper West stand, no doubt at a cheaper price. The best seats in the stadium at cheap prices? Totally unfair. The east end, in its' last guise, was cheap because the view was shite. There are no shite views anymore so pay the same as the rest of us.
That is wrong. The club were not thinking of placing them there.

How bad is the Atyeo really when compared to the SS in terms of view? The Atyeo is still a pretty new stand so up to the same level of rows back the view has to be practically the same as in the south stand, from my memory Atyeo still has food/drink and toilets available so the only difference would be that its not brand new, how much of an effect is that when you're there to watch football? When it used to be the old EE then fair enough because the view from there was awful, but the Atyeo is your bog standard behind goal view.

As for the other point about top of West Stand, I think actually Atyeo fans want away fans put up top so they can have the same/more of the stand, which is just stupid and has little realistic sense.

No idea really, prices are at the club's discretion and the EE/Atyeo lot have NEVER requested lower prices. They want to pay the same generally so people can't use this as a phoney criticism of them unjustly.

That's correct about your second point, the Atyeo lot have never asked to go there. The first solution was as follows;

Away and home fans share the Atyeo, in a cup tie when away fans are given a big % of tickets - they go in the top of the Williams if they can sell it. That's it. This was a CLUB idea, not fan led necessarily.

I get that they may have never requested it, but you can understand why other fans may get annoyed if they are given reduced prices for what must be a comparable view from the other end in the south stand?

Totally. All prices should be the same. It's important people know this isn't requested by fans though; the way some people go on you'd think the Atyeo lot made it an essential factor. Also, people assume that block is full of kids - it isn't.

If what Aaron and TTOCS want, that's what we will get!
Self important 'super bastard fans' really boil my piss! We sing and you don't FFS! Just grow up kids.
You sing so you're better than me even though I've watched 41 years of this shit but you sing now so you're better. Fooking hilarious!
I guarantee one thing. If you lot from S82 get a better price than the 'lesser' fan, I will genuinely walk away from the club I have loved , with a passion, from the top division to the bottom and back, and be content with my decision as the game I have always loved would be dead!
What, what?

Sumut clearly got your goat as per but dunno what I'm to do with it? :dk:

Apologies, I thought you were one of the 'we are uber fans as we sing' and I was wrong.
Once again, apologies TTOCS.

Yeah can't blame him for not being interested, only thing for me was given how close to the deadline it was he was stringing us along by coming down out of curtesy, could have respectfully said he wasn't interested, don't think I'd want to travel Bolton to Bristol and back if I didn't have to. The skeptic in my says that Bolton had a word with him saying to go so our attention was on him and not signing someone else.

Not much really, just confirmed what we all thought. He didn't come here as he wanted to try and keep Bolton up.

No it's because his Dad laughed at him about it and said no chance.
