Cheers chaps.

Right, back on topic. Who's got a picture of a recently installed advertising hoarding?

I haven't I'm afraid, but in the spirit of daily photos, I do have this to share with you...

Well that is a pretty impressive transformation.

Are there plans to eventually bring the last remaining 'old' stand behind the goal more in line with how the rest of the stadium now looks?

Fair comment although it does look tiny now the West stand is next to it. Photographs don't do the West stand justice, it's huge! I live 7 miles away from the stadium and I can see it from the end of my road.

It should be noted that I say this having not actually visited Ashton Gate in person. I like the rebuild from all seen, but it'd be a shame to dilute the character too much. Especially as it would invite comparison to your Welsh cousins!

The Atyeo Stand, the undeveloped end behind the goal, was built in the early nineties and to be fair is still pretty functional. The problem the club has with replacing it is the houses behind it. If you look closely the houses behind the stand are pretty close and as such any bigger structure would block their 'right to light'. There have been rumours of the club buying these properties as and when they come up for sale under assumed names not to drive the house prices up further, but I suspect they are just that, rumours.

Edit - it's also worth noting that the capacity when complete this summer will be 27,000, plenty for Championship football. I'd suspect only if we were regulars in the Premier League would serious thought be put to extending capacity further.

Martin Griffiths all but confirmed we're buying the houses at a fans meeting last year. He let it slip

Really? I didn't know that!
Hopefully a large single tiered stand then, right back to the road.

Nowhere else to put it without incurring the wrath of fans of other clubs but 'Get in there Bris'! This year boys, this year!
I love egg chasing, I really do. Played it for years and years so well happy and will be extremely pleased IF Bris finally do it next week.

Bristol do need to be in the premiership they're far too big to have been in the championship for this long thanks to the stupid play off system, it would be like the football championship introducing play offs for all the top 8 or something this year and Newcastle failing to get promoted for like 5 years while finishing first every time.

Always had the soft spot for Bath though :animatedf:

Anyone whose not seen the thread on OTIB about the traffic works go read it, sounds like traffic around Ashton Gate is going to get even more shite for the next 10 months plus.

Indeed, I read that. Some benefits to living on the dark side then, at least I don't have to go near that lot. It will be chaos!
Seen this today too, a different angle...

At the Gate for the first time since March. That West Stand never fails to impress.

Come on Bris!
