The other home games I've been to this season were Newcastle, Blackburn, Ipswich and last night. Thought the Newcastle atmosphere was good and Ipswich ok, but Blackburn and Brentford poor. I'm not sure what the club can do to improve it really.

At the moment I feel a very strong disconnect with the club at home games, it really is dead. No c*** will join in a song but as soon as we get a throw in from 35 yards out all of the same c*** start doing an Icelandic clap, it's pathetic. Being at Huddersfield last week has made me extremely jealous, brilliant atmosphere and something we are a million miles away from. There is however a load of things the club could do.

1) Stop sticking family areas all over the gaff, one small block is enough.

2) Let fans go in the Atyeo outside of the 700 or whatever it is season ticket holders, even when the away end is sold out a load of the home side is empty cause the club have chosen to restrict it, as they evidently don't like it.

3) Bin the Atyeo altogether and just let away fans have it. Move the Atyeo lot into the South Stand and allow standing, this area would grow quickly and due to the size of the stand anyone who wants to join them can. Club missed the boat in regards to this at the end of last season so would just have to put up with moaners if they did it now. Any current season ticket holders in the South Stand allowed to move to Dolman or Lansdown for same price if they wish, which brings me onto...

4) Reduce prices all over the ground, £40+ in the Lansdown and slightly less in the Dolman for non members is a disgrace no matter how new and lego it is. I like Lansdown but it's awful on his part.

Really sad news, @BrownhillsEars on twitter who was a massive City fan and a hilarious bloke passed away last night.

37 years old with a wife, no age that :(

Never had the pleasure of meeting him but used to speak on twitter a few times a week, such a horrible thing to happen at this time of year.

RIP.

Blimey, that's sad. 37 is far too young to be leaving this world.

Even more tragic when you consider the time of year.

Which genius decided the Bristol 10k on the same day as the last game of the season (home to Birmingham) was a good idea? Given the football, lots of roads will be shut for the 10k.

What a cock up! I assume the centre, all of Anchor Rd and the Portway will be closed? Un-bloody-believable!

Presumably all of the route will be closed, this is what's on the site based on last year, it's been brought forward a week this year by the looks of it as well.

Fully agree with that. Putting vocal home fans right next to the away fans have done wonders for that atmosphere at Hudders. Could do without the 12 year old kids flashing the Vs and giving you the see you outside gesture while behind the safety of the netting separating the fans though, winning there was very satisfying. You guys have similar in that the away fans share an end with home fans, I thought the atmosphere was great when we came.

It's not the same though mate. Only about 800 City in there. The eastend before its demolition was probably one of the best stands in the country shared by both home and away fans.

The problem with section 82 is it feels forced at times.

There not really ever been much of a atmosphere there in the past.

Though they should bring back the drummer

Judging by the 'meeting with the fans' thread on OTIB, it sounds like S82 are gonna be forced to move. Bloody good job too!

Any idea where there going

A lot of guesswork going on but the likeliest place appears to be E29 in the corner between the Dolman and the South stand.
If it doesn't upset the few that would have to move (it's never particularly busy there), I'm all in favour TBH.

As long as there not near me I don't mind
It's the logical place TBH. They can't go in the Heineken corner or they'll upset the corporates and, if they stand, they won't be in anybodies way in that corner.
The fact they will be right in the middle of the rest of our support is good too IMHO, as long as they are treated exactly the same as the rest of us.

I always seem to disagree with your posts

The only thing that could make the atmosphere worse is that fucking drum. I hated it.

Whatever happened to good old fashioned chanting.
