Nice try, but they hadnt played you in donkeys years whereas we unfortunately have to visit the dump most years. As youre on the subject of comparing attendances with local rivals.....If you ask very nicely, we may bring enough fans for you to scrape half the amount of Villas last home game. :)

Most years ? Can't be more than about 5 in 20 years if not longer

now now don't pick on our friendly neighbours :bg: may I add it was our lowest crowd of the season with Blackburn bringing about 800. Just for my records how many coaches will you be taking to St. Andrews?

Let’s not pretend that Birmingham is some sort of deserted wasteland like it is in the South West. We’re poles apart.

If you merged with Bristol Rovers, Newport & Cardiff you still probably wouldn’t have the numbers to sell out at St Andrews. Have Bristol City scraped past the 1k mark yet?

St Andrews a dump? give over.
In comparison to the ramshackle rust-bucket of Hillsborough… St Andrews is fairly modern.

If we're really being pedantic about it then this is the fourth time in six years, before that not so much but I remember a few games there in the 90s. The point is still very much a valid one though. More fans will go to a new ground or one they havent visited in years, than one theyve been to recently.

God, cant believe Im actually talking about away attendances... I must be bored. :(

We sold out at Brum last year.

Let's hope we take 1k+ so we can get the total attendance above 17,000 then.

Middlesbrough were the only club to have sold out the Lower Gil Merrick last season.
Yes, why is it, some clubs get offered the whole end while others don't? We sold our allocation early last season but didn't get the whole end, sure other clubs (like Leeds) would sell it out but don't get the chance. Would understand it if the rest of the ground was full but bar Villa and maybe Newcastle that's not going to happen. Just seems strange you open it all for one club but not others.

Really? Thought we sold out a couple of weeks in advance. Thought we were given an initial allocation that sold out, then about a thousand more that also sold out. Prepared to bow to your superior knowledge though.

I thought you did too not all the lower though whatever the smaller allocation is 3k or so. It's easy to know when Wednesday sell out as the Sheffield star like to make sure they mention it in about 5 different stories.

not many sell out the full 3k at brum. Don't think Leeds have sold out there the last two seasons either, although I think they were midweek games. Wolves never sold out last season.

I think Newcastle are moaning about another allocation. This time it's forest where as people will know the allocation is now only 2k. They are saying forest have 10k empty seats most games and they should be allocated more. Thing is like Leeds, I think forest will sell most if not all their home tickets for the visit of Newcastle. We had 10k empty seats when they played us so I can see their argument a bit there. I can even see blues filling their ground when they play Newcastle. It will be most teams biggest attendance of the season.

The Sheffield Star do it when both clubs sell out large allocations, you notice it more for us simply because it happens more often.

Everyone gets 2K at Forest, Newcastle aren't a special case.

Easy to sell out small away ends in the third tier isn't it pal?

Can only sell what were given :cool1:. There's been more demand this year than normal only 1 of those 6 made general sale(bolton , over 4k tickets).

We actually don't tend to travel that well to St Andrews, though we did sell our allocation this year and took 4k there other year which IIRC was a sell out.

That's why I said the star report it when either team sell out LARGE allocations. We haven't yet this season, don't think you have either. As you say you can only sell out what your given though. What will be your big allocations this year? Guessing Oldham, Bury, Coventry, Mk Dons anymore over 4k? Expect you to have a impressive season end average, if you keep up your current form. Get results fans will come as at most clubs.

Coventry is on a Thursday night on sky a week before Christmas so safe to say we won't be requiring thousands there. Think only MK Dons and Vale are over 4k. Bury and Oldham a bit less.

Bury's 3k, Oldham used to be 4k in the old away allocated stand but I've no idea what the stand away fans are allocated now holds.

I loathe people who criticise others for not attending football matches despite the ridiculously extortionate prices for the luxury nowadays.
