Whilst I agree with your sentiment aren't you 17? I doubt you have any financial hardship tbh.
Why's it relevant? I wasn't speaking about me specifically, on about us as a country.

After the last decade your team has had, I would have thought this thread would be a piece of piss.
Nah, losing to the likes of Hayes and Yeading, Altrincham, Nuneaton and Tamworth is fuck all compared to the pain and realisation that I will never ever get back the 30 minutes of my life that it took to read the last 5 or 6 pages of dogturd in this thread. :gr:

People who religiously attend every away game are on par with nerds who attend anime conventions.
We all are a bit. I mean, when you think about the money spent and miles travelled to watch some blokes kick a ball about every week, it's all pretty sad really when you take a step back.

Not that I care. Still be up in Birmingham next week

No trains running to Brum this Saturday, £41 train to Reading next Saturday from Temple Meads. What a time to be alive...

Should have or will have?
Sales going well, will shift the 4k if we win on Saturday.

Why do people tolerate it?
I don't know mate, it's disgraceful. As Aaron pointed out the other day as well, the same distance in the other direction (Bristol to Cardiff) is only a £12 return.

If you head up north, you can travel the same distance across the country for a fraction of that price as well.

Sheffield to Birmingham is £45 return, hardly cheaper up North fella, care to show me where it is cheaper or is it a sweeping generalisation? Train companies aren't picky who they rip off.

First check for a train which is the same travelling time:

Bradford to Preston, next Saturday, off peak day return: £16.30.

That's half of the price from Bristol to Reading after fucking about with changing at Didcot and such.

The only place you'll get that down here is if you're travelling west into Wales, it costs £15 to get to Swindon which is a 30 minute train journey ffs.

You don't change at Didcot, just split the ticket for that.

Sheffield to Derby is 30 mins and £13, hardly a major difference, Preston to Bradford isn't classed as a major route hence it is cheaper than Bristol to Reading which is the arterial route to London from the South West.
