To be honest, it's a grim day out and there are better trips...well pretty much anywhere really. Even a day out in Gomorrah would be brighter than the shit end of Coventry Road. This is why we took 9,000 to Milton Keynes in league 1 and you took..oh wait....just 4,500.
The last time we was down in the third tier, we took 55,000 of our own supporters to Wembley for a nothing match against Carlisle.

Besides a football club that has won fuck all in 35 years, Wolverhampton is most renowned for a ring-road and the tramp that lived on it. Lonely Planet has Wolverhampton down as the fifth worst city in the world to live in. Baghdad, Dhaka, and Mogadishu considered more preferable. I'd imagine that every away match is a 'day out' for Wolves.

Awww, so sweet. We took more than that to Wembley for some paint trophy.
But love the way you get so worked up about all this. :bg: And then moan at Villa fans whining "It's not banter!" at them last week. Then - <sigh> as usual when you run out of your own banter you revert to the Lonely Planet story. :bg:

So 4,500 to MK? We took more than that to Preston early in our League 1 season. Anyway, do let us know when you can take 4,500 more than 50 miles down the road, and we can all scour the internet for photographs of the event for you. Many hands makes light work. Or fingers, in your case.

Fucking hell, I was genuinely embarrassed for you reading that first paragraph. If you wasn't such an incessant try-hard, you might actually be likeable.

Taking over 6,000 to Brugge in the Europa League back in 2011 is one that stands out. A bit more than 50 miles, right?

Better Preston and MK in L1 than a night out in Brugge.

You asked, I delivered.

A 40-year old virgin responding with the word 'bless' is a bit cringe, really. I couldn't be bothered reading whatever you said past that.

Funny isn't it, how little boys jokes...calling people "a virgin" and then talking about willies .....is terribly, terribly exciting. It must have been equally terribly, terribly exciting to go all that way to Milton Keynes and be part of a big boy's crowd!

Anyway, that'll be it for me now.....I really can't top being called a virgin or chat about my willie. I feel burned. I'll let you have the last word, because it'll certainly be worth waiting for.

Compare that to Ipswich away in a few weeks, Friday Night, on the tele, they've released the ticket details today.....£32.50 :D :D :D Jesus, they'll be lucky to get 358 at that price.

Staggering.

100 left for Burnley away on the 12th, allocation is only 2400 for some reason. Scratch that sold out.

UPDATE: 17 days to go Leeds sold 4300 for MK Dons away. Members only sales, heard we could get more as only 700 left.

Have you heard that officially? Lots of peeps saying there's a TVP enforced cap this season, but I just don't see it. Once we gave Wolves 9,000 then I don't see why we can't do that for anyone that wants to bring the numbers. The club has proven it can cope. Wolves passed off relatively uneventfully (one smashed table at The Enigma was about it, I believe) and I really don't see us turning down their money.

I'm sure we released an article saying Leeds would only get 5000 and then only fans from a certain postcode could buy tickets in the home end on the day.

I'm glad we got to play there before the Leeds hooligans turned up and smashed all those lovely comfortable seats up...

Anyone know why Birmingham only allocate 2,600 away tickets? Considering St Andrews is almost half empty every week, it's baffling.

As far as I'm aware clubs travelling to us can have up to 5000, but the club do a no return sale, your club takes 5k but only sells 3k you still have to pay for the 5k.

I may be wrong though admittedly.

It's to help the home fans create a 'library like' atmosphere.

Out of interest is that how all clubs operate? I thought the rules had to be the same, and I know that Wolves get returns back from other clubs.

There used to be a great table that showed the away attendance at every match in the season...home side down the side, away teams across the top. Was excellent reading for nerds. But I can't find it. Anyone know where it is?

Our club has today said no more after the 2,600, which is a bit annoying to be honest.

Same allocation for us there on the 26th. Doubt we'll sell out though, as its on TV.

How much are tickets for you? £25 for us.

£25. Same for all away fans at s:mk. No grading. We tried it for a season or two. In fact Leeds probably paid more back in 2010 than they are now!

We are doing it differently now though and the first 2,500 or so are in the upper tier.

Good article here in respect of Championship prices (apologies if it's been posted elsewhere):
