Remember us having sections of both side stands in the cup in 1997

Quite possibly so but in recent times teams get the whole Midland road stand in cup games which holds 4.5k

Our away support seems to have gone really downhill in the past decade. We used to take good numbers up north in the early noughties, even in League One, now we take fuck all.
Strangely if it's a Cup game our support North is decent, league games we take bugger all. Though the same long trips every season isn't great, and in the early noughties we were going to places like Leeds, Preston, Sunderland, Sheffield United for the first time in a while. Having spent 11 of the past 14 seasons in this division we have the same long trips every year, no surprise that the followings deteriorate.

Haven't been to many away games lately, but the last few have seen a dramatic shift in the ages of our fans attending. As someone in their mid-20s I now feel like i'm one of the older ones! Probably good for the future, but seems a lot of long serving away fans have stopped going for various reasons.

Leeds allocation for Reading away is just over 3,600. Lots of netted off seats then.

It was a decent effort for a dead rubber 180 miles away.

We'll have similar at Norwich next weekend, which again would be a decent effort.

Remember us going with support in 3 stands, normal 2 stands plus between 1 and 1.5k in top of main stand. Not sure how many we took that day but pretty sure it was more than 4.5k, maybe Reading got the same. Would surprise me though as they have never brought any good numbers to Hillsborough. Remember playing them in their last away game in the season they gained promotion to Premier League, they were already promoted but brought 1.5k (Being generous there) shit support, makes me doubt 6k to Bradford, any Bradford fan confirm or deny it?
I can deny it as I was there, they sold out Midland road 4.5k as Blademan said. We sold out the other 3 stands so there was no room. You are correct about Wednesday getting 3 stands, around 2002-03 was it? West Brom and Portsmouth also did, but they are the only 3 that has ever happened for.

The club seem to go a bit overkill with the netting ever since our game against Bradford. Rows of seats at the front are netted off for no good reason.

I thought it was maybe cos villa fans were on the pitch or was netting in place then as well.

I think that was a one off, because every other big allocation has had tons of netting.

The racist abuse from a Bradford fan towards McCleary in that game came from somebody in Row A. That coupled with our fans on the pitch and all sorts going on in the away end meant the club had an excuse to pop down to B&Q.

No such netting was in place when 4,000 Cardiff fans were baying for Adam Federici and chanting homophobic abuse at Michael Duberry. The police horses had to step in that day.

No netting when played there earlier and I'm pretty sure it was after the Villa game?

Also Walkley_Owl, official City numbers at Newcastle and Villa respectively have been confirmed as 2,703 and 2,473, if you'd missed that. Remarkably more than we got allocated at Villa....

 I didn't even notice. Either way, 2 rows isn't 400 seats so that's clearly not why they've reduced the allocation, unless it's been extended back.

He just wanted to show everyone that Bristol City filled the away end.

I'm onto him me.
 fucking hell

I'm shocked at that, thought it'd be about 700. I've been busting a gut to get to all of our games lately, but didn't even consider going to this one with it being on Sky and Forest, Wolves, Derby and Birmingham away still to come.

Just shows the belief the fans have and how playing well boosts that belief

Over 5,000 sold for Blackburn on Saturday, 1,000 gone since Monday morning after the upper tier was made available.

Not sure if we'll sell the full 7k but think we will have 6,000 there.

Jump on the District Line from Edgware Road to Putney Bridge, then walk.

I always find it easier to go via Hammersmith. So, Bakerloo line Marylebone to Paddington then change to a Hammersmith & City or Circle line tube to Hammersmith.

It's about an extra 10 mins walk, but there's one or two pubs around Hammersmith (seek out the Crabtree next to the river) that are likely to be a little quieter than the chaos around Putney Bridge. Straightforward walk down Fulham Palace Road from the tube station.

4700 sold out for Wigan on Saturday. Thought we had only taken the 4200 but we must of had the full allocation.
