I always find it easier to go via Hammersmith. So, Bakerloo line Marylebone to Paddington then change to a Hammersmith & City or Circle line tube to Hammersmith.

It's about an extra 10 mins walk, but there's one or two pubs around Hammersmith (seek out the Crabtree next to the river) that are likely to be a little quieter than the chaos around Putney Bridge. Straightforward walk down Fulham Palace Road from the tube station.

I'd second this, I always used to go via Putney Bridge until the last few years they've started shutting the pubs after the match, literally every pub is shut for a couple of hours after the game, and the way they organise Putney Bridge station is ridiculous. Every man and his dog will go via Putney Bridge, if swigging shit beer in plastic glasses surrounded by twats is your thing then go for it, for a better day out follow the advice above :2thumb:

Could be worse, instead of limiting the away numbers Lancs Police close off sections of the home end to fit more away fans in...

Other than Liverpool at home where the sell out attendance was only 28.5k because the Police closed off almost 3000 seats in the home end to give Liverpool 7.2k. Bear in mind our stands were designed to need little to no segregation.

That's an absolute joke. It's a seperate stand as well. When was this Liverpool game anyway? 2 or 3 years back I'm guessing.

2 years next month. It's ever since we came down the police have shat it every time there's been a big away following and the club bend over to them.

Take Saturday for example; in the Jack Walker stand the closest 45 seats to the Darwen End on each row are netted off, including the first 9 rows of the upper tier. It's shambolic.

Ground Safety officer is meant to be a right c*** at Blackburn. Makes our game be a 1pm kick off if we want the entire 7000 when last year and this at both ewood and deepdale there wasn't any real trouble at all.

We've sold around 6k for tomorrow.

We've allocated the Jawdees a maximum of 2,350 at £42 for the game next month.

£42! and a shitey allocation, although I imagine this is a potential sell out?
We got 3,200 in a 52K stadium, swings and roundabouts but the pricing is outrageous.

Newcastle always sell out the home areas tbf especially this season which is why they only give 3200 away. It would be daft not to give Newcastle the whole Leppings Lane if you don't sell out the home areas but if you do then fair play it's the right decision.

Why would it be daft? We don't need the money.

Another 3k sold would be £100,000+ in the bank, a small amount in the modern game yes but still daft to just turn it down, especially with FFP nowadays.

Not really, Max would be another 2,200 due to syp, not all would be adults and we've got sky fee to cover it and a smaller police bill.

Which you didn't sell out. The allocation is fine but £42 ffs your club is a fucking disgrace. If we meet next year I'm not sure I could pay it.

I'd also guess you will be seeing what the demand is like in the home end on wether to have the lower tier yourselves and if the demand isn't there then you will give Newcastle the lot. Another thing if we play each other it looks like it will be 2k allocations at each ground which will result in loads in the home ends at both. Should do what rangers and Celtic do and give good allocations to avoid that problem.

It was boxing day night on sky. They had around 100 tickets left I can remember reading.

Perhaps due to the allocation we got. God knows but suspect more to do with plod.
Yeah I accounted for that, it was a rough estimate. Didn't realise it was only another 2k though.
