Our last group game is home to Sheffield United. A completely pointless fixture seeing that both teams have lost their first 2 games and cannot progress
JPT First Round 2015 AFC Wimbledon vs Argyle crowd of 1251 with 356 away fans.
W*nkstain Trophy 2016 AFC Wimbbledon vs Argyle crowd of 936, 197 away fans.

Not as big a drop as most would have liked but it's still something. Brilliant to see mostly low turnouts this round and especially vs the u23 teams.

It'll be interesting to see how many are at our final group game v Sheffield United next month. Less than the 609 we got last night hopefully. It's a completely pointless fixture with neither side able to progress any further, but with the obvious risk of key players getting injured.

Hopefully after the trouble in our pre-season friendly this year, Humberside Police will insist on it being played behind closed doors.

Bradford subbing their keeper after 1 minute hopefully shows the EFL what the manager's think of this competition too.

The final group games could see some hideously low attendances, how many games are between two teams already out?

So the EFL have said that they're going to deal with fines at the conclusion of the Group Stage and have approached us asking for "observations" on selection so far, whatever that is supposed to mean?

Are they really going to fine us £15,000 for promoting what they set out to achieve, albeit in reverse?

A fine for playing a weakened team and winning would sum this farce up

Brief highlights from our game and surely one of the softest red cards you'll ever see!

That red card is wrong surely? The goalkeeper didn't prevent a clear goal scoring opportunity. Shades of Ross Flitney's red card when in goal for us when we played Manchester Utd in the League Cup at Old Trafford.

Exactly, should only have been a yellow really. Will Puddy was only booked at Wembley when we played Bristol Rovers in The Play-Off Final season before last and that was far more a goalscoring opportunity than that was last night.

Oh well, he only has to miss the pointless Sheffield United game according to the rules so no harm done!

Yeah, good job really. Not sure what the rules are though if someone was to get sent off in our last meaningless game against Sheff United. Would that carry over to next season?

That sending off sums up this year's competition perfectly.

Talking about nonsense decisions, those who have Player subscriptions, watch the West Brom penalty decision from last night at 1m 50s. Unbelievably poor decision. Fortunately it didn't go in.

92% drop from saturdays gate if that doesn't prove a point I don't know what will.
also if they actually go ahead and fine teams for fielding English youngsters it's a farce

This prestigious tournament returns tonight, hands up if you can't wait.

Chesterfield at home for us, can't see them bringing many hopefully another sub 1k crowd and not arsed about the result, the more changes we make the better.

Away at Brighton's children. Imagine we'll take a disturbingly large number, if only because it's a new ground. And we'll lose. Don't forget the losing.

They are idiots if they turn up tonight instead of tomorrow.

On another note, its a meaningless game for both sides as we are both out, but now Bignot gets to witness his new players in a friendly before Saturday which is good, though I think Mckeown is suspended? and as Henderson has been called up to England will mean our GK coach will be in goal!

See, I'd just take the piss and put Bogle in goal... Counts towards the players who have to play limit...

Probably not a bad idea, but as it's the first match for the new manager, it will be a chance to see his new players in a "competitive" environment before a proper match on Saturday, so the timing isn't too bad I suppose.

We have Wolves U23s away tonight - could our away attendance of 5 at Chesterfield in the last round of games be beaten I wonder?

We played Wolves away in the League Cup a few years back so its not even a new ground for us!

Derby away for us. Can see me being embarrassed by our following tonight. Thankfully we are shit though, Less than 2000 home fans Saturday when it was £12. If we take under 100 tonight I'll be happy but can see a few hundred turning out because it's at Pride Park.

We've got Scunthorpe at home. We've had some brilliant attendances so far and have a great chance of doing so again tonight.
