I'll still be getting a season ticket...

Everything that has happened at the club is no fault of Martin Allen's, and he deserves the fans full backing as he attempts to steer us back to the football league!

I don't understand why everyone still takes DA's comments to heart, everyone knows what type of man he is and he'll never change. Just ignore the comments, he will never accept any blame and it's as simple as that. Also, he's not going anywhere any time soon as he's already mentioned... he will only be gone when we are back in the Football league and an attractive proposition once again, and if our fans continue to distance themselves it's just going to make the task even more difficult.

Instead of listening to DA's comments I'd urge the fans to listen to MA who today asked the fans for unity as that's the only way we're going to get success. We can't go on like this feeling sorry for ourselves every time those clowns come out with some comments we don't like!!

The club is bigger than they will ever be and MA needs our support next season. Up the f*cking blues!

I think this is more likely to go the way of Eastleigh than of us under Allen.

This is the exact same idiotic line of argument espoused by our “support the team at all costs” simpletons when Becchetti was destroying the club.

If he's allowed to move players on and build his own side, then I think Chesterfield could push for the playoffs next season.

Eastleigh for me have always been destined to fail due to the politics there players have behind the scenes due to their rather large wage budget, or so I've heard...........

Only 4 clubs have ever bounced back at the first attempt - Only one of those 4 clubs were champions as well.

The best thing all Ex FL sides can do when they first drop here is get in a manager who knows this level - Something we couldn't do last summer.

Oh and you'll more than likely sign Bonz N'Gala as well, he loves following Allen everywhere.

I just don't see the point in sitting around moaning about the situation all over message boards... the simple fact is, there is no one with enough funds interested in buying Chesterfield FC at the moment, and it's likely to stay that way until we're back in the league.

We had opportunities as a fan base to kick up a real fuss last season with protests that would have got nationwide attention... instead, we did nothing.

So the way I look at it, we can either continue with this attitude of us against them which has got us nowhere and will continue to get us nowhere in my opinion, or we as fans can try to draw a line under what has gone (obviously very difficult) and get behind the new man who seems confident he can get us up if we can create a bit of unity around the place..

From what has gone on today, i'm under the impression that our owner is going to do as much as he can to get us back in the Football league at the first attempt, as he is desperate to sell the club. He's already admitted that he won't be able to sell it for the type of money he wants whilst we're in the National League. He seems to have lost faith in the board running the club on his behalf and understandably so after 2 consecutive relegations!

For this reason, I think Martin Allen will be given room to manoeuvre in the market and has apparently already got agreements in place with players to join next week.

Just think it is burying heads in the sand and things will just continue, we will continue to fall and continue to be embarassed on a national scale if we just keep plodding along.

MA's plea was coincidentally a day before STs go on sale, it looked forced and awkward and likely he wouldn't have done it off his own back.

DA and Carson don't deserve a penny more after everything they have done, be it morally wrong, damn right stupid or plain illegal. If I was to chuck money at them with a ST or any tickets it is in my eyes me supporting the regime and legitimising what they have done. For that reason i'm out for the foreseeable. Plenty of good away games anyway to sample..

Insider trading, an illegal approach for a manager & abuse of powers for personal gain. Just another day at CFC.

THIS is why I won't be giving a penny more whilst Carson is CEO.

One supporter on our forum has speculated that Allen may have been approached for the manager's job when attending the Chesterfield vs Newport County match. Does that sound plausible to you?

Chesterfield are now the Manchester United of non league!!

“Given the disappointments of the last two years I think it’s the least we can do for our supporters to say look, we can’t undo what’s done, we appreciate your support, we’ve made the prices supporter friendly to watch what may well be a reduced standard of football, it may not be once we get into the season because we’ll probably be the Manchester United of that division with the stadium we’re in.

"Since I’ve been up here, I’ve come across supporters that talk about performance and pricing, it is very price sensitive this area of the country"

Which, when you peel away the attempted diplomacy, translates to "the locals are peasants". He comes across as a bit of a tool.

There's a nobber on our forum starts off saying he won't be coming next season coz he's 67 and he can't afford the new prices. Then someone reminds him he's just bought new car and come home from a cruise. Now he's saying it's a point of principle coz we're not giving him a discount for being a boring old fart. He'll be there next season. :fl:

He'll learn soon enough that they're just another failed Football League club. Probably when they've been panned 4-1 at home by Solihull, early doors.

And yet they chastise the younger generation for their sense of entitlement, I wonder who they get it from? :pond:

Yeah I don't really know who he is, but that interview is cringey. Nothing to do with the area it's the fact footballs a rip off, we were the most expensive in League 1 and 2 to watch in terms of ST's.

Jalal makes a ton of mistakes, but is capable of pulling off a few top draw saves. A real non league keeper.

National league team of the season last year so can't be too bad
He was with us for an entire season and was garbage most of the time. I wouldn't get too excited.

Macclesfield didn't take him to League 2 for a reason.
