Fucking Premier League. What a load of old shit.

Hands up if you've gone a full season unbeaten.

Hands up if you've won the FA Cup.....twice.

Hands up if David motherfucking Beckham has played for, and scored goals, for your club.

That's pretty much half of why I put Preston in second on mine because of the history there. Doesn't matter how long ago it was that 'Invincibles' season was something that's only ever been done one other time in the history of the professional level English game, pretty sure that counts for something significant.

Wigan have won an FA cup post-war, therefore it's a worthless achievement

That's because the FA Cup has wrongly been put below winning the League/Top 4 etc.

When we won it, it was the biggest competition in football. Unfortunately, I wasn't born till a couple years after..

It was never more important than the League.

Just for future reference, who is the biggest club to ever play in the conference? We could be challenging that title within the next 5 years.

Coventry United were created as sort of a phoenix club, they are people who are discontent with SISU's management and want to get Coventry United up. They might start to gain more and more support if it continues like it is.
Coventry United wouldn't take off imo

I've always been against a Phoenix club in the past but right now I would probably take it.
The club has no future living under the thumb of Wasps which not many seem to realise and SISU have no genuine plans to build a new stadium, even if SISU ever did build it would almost certainly fail it seems as it would be SISU made, our fans would view it as supporting SISU.

There is a large negativity towards the prospect of a new stadium, bizarrely most of our fans don't wish us to have access revenues and the most popular choice of many is too be ripped off at the Ricoh and for the club and fans to be a revenue stream for a franchise rugby club.

I'd go Luton or Grimsby off the top of my head.

As much as it pains me to say it, the Blunts are clearly the biggest club in this division, although we did get better gates than them for three seasons between 1998-2000.

If it wasn't for a couple of great years in the 19th century, no one would be making a case for PNE. They've had a couple of decent years in the Championship in the early part of this century but for the majority of the last thirty plus years they have mainly been a third tier (and sometimes fourth tier) club. They also got less than 8,000 for a home game in a season when they are going for automatic promotion. This was only three weeks ago.

Bristol City have had a similar(ish) last 30 plus years to PNE. Couple of decent seasons in the championship a few years ago, but more often than not they have found themselves in the third tier. Bristol City are club of whom people will often say "they have massive potential". A couple of decent seasons in the second tier doesn't really support this.

Bradford City are probably up there because they have the word "City" in their name, have been on a couple of excellent cup runs and they get good gates. Don't forget though - they charge £100 for their season tickets.

I would say Bristol Rovers are probably as big as Luton, and a lot bigger than Grimsby.

I wouldn't say a lot bigger, Grimsby were playing league football long before Rovers and have spent a few seasons in the top flight, something Rovers have never achieved. Pretty much on a par I'd say.
