I agree, there was literally no one at the Ricoh yesterday but they are the biggest club in the league apparently? My Dad's mate who is a Leeds fan reckons that we are on a par with Sheffield United in terms of club size, excluding home averages.
IMO -
1 - Sheff Utd
2 - Bristol City
3 - Coventry
4 - PNE
5 - Bradford
6 - Barnsley
---------------------
24 - Swindon
It's all a matter of opinion, but how anyone can say a club who only had 2,500 more home fans than we did away fans in a game at their stadium they just got back are a bigger club than us is beyond me..
I know that's just one example, but historically, we are probably a bigger club than Coventry.
Not for me - I'm leaving myself open to criticism, but there are bigger clubs in this league than Coventry.I agree, there was literally no one at the Ricoh yesterday but they are the biggest club in the league apparently?
Robbie Williams, Phil Taylor, Johnny Wilkes, Lemmy from Motorhead, and departed user. Good luck beating that.

What people forget, is the present plays a part in the size of a club as well, it's not all on history!!
I'm not talking in terms of achievement, I'm saying crowds etc..What have Bristol City achieved in recent seasons that make them bigger than Coventry?
Depends on what you clarify as recent, since 2006/07 we won promotion that season to the championship, then one game from the premier league while coventry slipped into league 1, then a good few seasons in the championship while coventry continued to struggle in league 1 and now we've been relegated it looks like we could be going back up this season with coventry are at risk of slipping to league 2 and I suppose you can chuck in a trip to Wembley for us. So it comes down to how you classify one club being bigger than the other. What have Bristol City achieved in recent seasons that make them bigger than Coventry?
Which is why I ask how do you classify one club being bigger than another, how big of a club are Portsmouth compared to teams in league 1 given their current struggles? Same can be said for the Coventry/City comparison, what if either we go up and/or Coventry go down. In serparate divisions would we then be bigger than Coventry? That's potentially only 11 games away. They were in the top flight for 34 consecutive seasons to be fair to Cov.
Portsmouth are bigger than most of the clubs in League 1.Which is why I ask how do you classify one club being bigger than another, how big of a club are Portsmouth compared to teams in league 1 given their current struggles? Could you try to stop fishing for just one minute and post something worthwhile? You just know somebody is bigger than the other, like Oxford are bigger than Swindon.
Historically a lower league/non-league team and, despite their recent successes, well on their way to returning to their rightful and natural level.I know this is League One but how would people rank Wigan? Only use them as an example as I find it hard to rank them. Personally don't view them much more than a lower Championship/ higher League 1 club, yet they've spent 8 years in the top flight and won an FA Cup all in recent years

This. Fucking hate Wigan.Historically a lower league/non-league team and, despite their recent successes, well on their way to returning to their rightful and natural level.
