Hardly had a look in since November won't be missed
Sugarcoat it all you like, but he is one of the best attacking players in the division. Frustrating as fuck to lose him without an explanation.

On his day maybe, but he has hardly done anything this season. Probably the worst player on the pitch against Kidderminster, which is saying something as the entire team were dire in that game, and he has hardly had a look in since, and if its true that he has trained just three times since Lincoln it says it all. (and it wouldn't surprise me as in the pre-match warm up against Macc, he was with the other "injured" players and those not selected, doing the usual shuttles with Dave Moore and Neilson did one shuttle, said something to Moore and went back to the dressing room)

Besides judging from the wording of the statement it looks like Neilson has terminated his own contract not GTFC terminating it.

There's obviously some reason we didn't get the best out of him, you don't just start a season absolutely flying then drop off the face of the earth. SoC is right in saying that he's one of the best attacking players in the league, to say he won't be missed is silly as we've been missing him all season. He's always had a bit of a problem getting in shape but it seemed like he had a couple of bad games then never even made the bench. Fitness or a fall out maybe but I wouldn't put it down to bad form.

Maybe Hurst was telling the truth, maybe he was talking absolute shite again, who knows. But it's a massive shame to lose such a talented player none the less. On his day he's better than all our current wingers combined.

We've lost two of our best players (one of them on his day being the best) and despite what Frealaf tells himself, nobody has a clue why.

All we have is hearsay from the fans and the club dragging it out for weeks and in effect lying to the fans in the process. It's a ridiculous way to run a football club and I've absolutely no doubt that this one was a personal one. Hurst has not even considered the effects on the pitch of losing arguably our best player. He tore this league apart at the start of the season, then the tactical genuis that is Hurst decided to change things. Neilson struggled as a result and now Hurst shows him the door!? The same Hurst who has publicly slated him more than once, the same Hurst who then publicly threw a tantrum when fans questioned LJL.

The fact some fans aren't bothered just shows the negative boring attitude that Hurst has installed in some fans at this club.

I try not to criticise Hurst for the sake of it but your last point is actually legitimate. John-Lewis was lambasted to the ends of the earth last season, now we worship him like a god when in reality he's decent at best. He was never a bad player but he is not the world beater some people make him out to be. I said it months ago, our standards have dropped.

At first glance a very odd signing? (He's not a CB, LB or striker)

Hmm not sure what to make of this one!! Isn't he a winger? Surely we cant be contributing to his wages, for a position we don't need cover in?!

Very odd signing given that on the wing is one of the few positions where we don't need cover.

likes to run. thats about it

he had a storming debut against Luton but been downhill ever since. cant seem to skin a man, which isnt good for a winger

thought he would have gone on loan to a team in the division below to be honest, or even WPL

He's got a bit of talent but he's basically too timid and weak to make an impact. Nice lad though, won't cause any problems.

Shocked at Macc signing Theo, has some potential and reasonable pace but can't cross, dribble or pass and is weak as hell

Apparently we aren't paying for the Wrexham lad according to Askey, still a strange signing but it's not draining any resources.
