Must say that is a very shit move by Hearn, I've had nothing but respect for his injuries and his move to Lincoln and he has always seemed like a good guy.

However he has always wanted to stay at "home" so now he goes and trots off to Cumbria which I find very much surprising. Cox will dick him over again potentially as Cox is known for his ridiculous high intensity training.
Not arsed, if today's news comes to fruition, we can go and buy somebody of equal/better calibre in January. Ultimately he will lose out.

Sadly not helping us much either, the selfish little prick:fing:

No it's not helping us at all, it's bad enough losing your second top scorer, but timing it on the last day of the transfer window takes the piss big time. I fear it will cost us, but hopefully with these extra funds available come January, Hearn will be a distant unpleasant memory we can easily forget.

Fingers crossed mate. Hearn may on his hols but the others like defenders and midfielders need to start tucking some chances away ASAP

Be just Lincolns luck for him to get injured before January (through lack of game time) and sit back on your wage bill until the end of his contract

I can't see him playing for us again, the chairman has said he won't and I doubt Chris Moyses would be happy to forgive him, even if it means losing one of our best finishers. Best case scenario then is if someone like Barrow take over his contract so we can use the funds elsewhere. Leaves a sour taste in the mouth though, that's for sure.

Vanarama National League North club Alfreton Town have signed defender Brad McGowan from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side Grantham Town.

Nope me neither!!

Looks like he has only played two pre season friendlies for Grantham and a handful of games in an awful Rainworth Miners Welfare side that were relegated from the Northern premier South last season.

Probably paying him absolute peanuts. But at least he is another body.

What's going on with Adam Cunnigton? He's gone to Bromley now. I know he's not the most technically adept striker at this level, and most certainly not good enough for L2, but he always gave 100%, and he had the good trait of helping out the side whenever we were under the cosh. Not too many strikers can say that, as most of them seemingly have a fear of defending.

Hope he gets back on track and gets back to what he does best, and that's holding the ball up very well and bringing others into play.

Absolute class act when he first joined last season. 10 in 19 in a side that was going from one disaster to another. He stepped up when Danny Kedwell was shocking. Unfortunately for Adam, Keds is an absolute beast this season and Matty Godden has been banging them in for fun recently. With Danny Haynes and Charlie Sheringham in reserve (with Robbie Willmott out on loan and Anthony Cook just re-signed for us), Adam's time has been extremely limited. And when he has played, he hasn't looked as interested IMO.

I feel for the lad, but that's football, I guess. I hope he goes to Bromley and is a success.

How did you know that?!

But yeah, non-contract until January and then until the end of the season by the sounds of it.
It was definitely sarcasm from him I'm sure. But that is a shocking signing :ffs::pmsl:

It's almost as if you don't want play-offs after signing him and Blissett.

Craig Reid? Why the fuck do Lincoln want to scupper their playoff ambitions by signing that fat, useless oxygen thief?

We need some bodies in the squad, yes even Blissett and Reid will give us some extra options. You have to remember we got shafted by Hearn on loan window expiry day so we couldn't bring anyone else in. All we can sign now are out of contract players.

I would imagine the signifcant funds given to Chris Moyses to strengthen for January will then see whether we can push on and keep in and around the play offs. If these two don't do the business, then it's hardly going to make much difference financially because they won't be given longer contracts.

The only options Reid will be interested in are what the pie choices are in the club canteen. That's why he enjoyed himself at Kiddie. Moyses could go and pull a random fan out of the crowd on Saturday and he'll give you more options on the pitch than Reid will.

:eyes:

Only just seen this. I was more thinking who would a play-off chasing team definitely not be stupid enough to sign...

To be fair, his best spell for us was a period where he was playing alongside Blissett.

I think both Reid and Blisset will get something until the end of the season, but I don't think either will be Hearn's replacement. I'd expect us to sign another striker in January unless Hearn actually does come back.

We've been short in numbers up front all season.

If he is a fan of pies then leaving Kiddie is a BIG mistake lol!

Someone on our forum has said that a deal was agreed between us and Lincoln for Craig Reid in the summer, but he turned it down due to decreased wages. Now we've paid him off anyway and he still gets his move.

Make Boston an offer for Southwell would be my choice.

We'll do you a swap - Hearn for Ashley Grimes?

Grimes did incredibly well for us in L2 alongside Facey - one of the best finishers we've had in recent years.

However, he always played as thought he had a chip on his shoulder and had a bit of an attitude about him, which is exactly the opposite of what Moyses wants, hence certain players leaving under his management.
