He signed him for on loan for us last season. Was dreadful. 100% won't be good enough for League Two. Hardly think he's good enough for you league!

That would have been under Day as well wouldn't it? Must rate him to have signed him 3 times.

We've paid an undisclosed fee and given him an 18 month deal, so we must see something in him.

We've signed somebody called Reiss Greenidge. Never heard of him but he's only 19 and is 6'5. Sounds like we could have done with him on Saturday as our defence was bullied by Freddie Ladapo ffs. He's shite.

:fl:

Yep. He looked completely lost whenever I saw him. Only young though so could improve I guess, but I wouldn't expect much.

That's what I thought. Even worse, our fans are saying we should sign him after he has one good game! Absolutely fucking horrendous.

Apparently we have signed Luke Coulson from Oxford City?
Record signing?
A right back?
Bit of a mystery this one.
Have been hearing all week that we are making a big signing announcement tonight (at a fans forum), so maybe/hopefully this one isn't the only signing we will announce today....

Edit: We have also signed keeper Michael Poke on his release from Portsmouth FC (he had been on loan with us anyway).

Jamie McCombe signs on an 18-month deal. Was part of an unbelievably talented back line for us in L2 about 10/12 years ago before Bristol City snapped him up for £5k (release clause - only option we had to keep him). Doesn't exactly sort the lack of pace out, mind.

Get McAuley back from WBA and Paul Morgan out of retirement and we've cracked it!

Jeez, I wasn't expecting that. According to Wikipedia he's not featured since signing for Stevenage in the summer, but I'm sure he's more than capable at this level.

Wiki's wrong - 16 appearances for Stevenage this season apparently.

A defender who can defend. That will do nicely. Hopefully this will spell the end of Callum Howe, who has gone downhill at a rate of knots.

It's not him who drags back the oppo's forwards both as bad as each other imho of late.
Change of formation anyone?

If we're after Boyce, too, does that signal 3 at the back?

Saw somewhere a 50/50 signing changed their mind and isn't coming, Boyce?
Not a fan of Boyce very similar to Waterfall and Howe imho.

Eastleigh are going down a slippery slope signing players on 2.5 year contracts

I know, under Hockaday that's all he was doing. 3 years here, 3 years there. Much prefer Ady's way of shorter contracts to prove their worth.
What was worse it was 3 year deals to mercenaries or players who after a year clearly werent good enough. I sort of admire Vince's loyalty to his manager but Hockaday didn't have a clue really.

It was madness how long Hockaday managed to blag that job. He must be quite the charmer because he somehow got the Leeds job too.

Richard Brodie leaves Aldershot, wanting to move back up north. I wonder if he's Stockport bound?

I wouldn't be. Boyce was excellent for us towards the end of the 2013-14 season. His loan spell at the start of the following season was very good too - most supporters were disappointed when he went back to Scunny.

So you don't think there's an irony about a Grimsby fan saying that another team's manager isn't up to it?

Just realised what your profile picture is of.
