Scottish giants Aberdeen have invited attacker Harry Smith on trial.

The 6`5" forward, who plays for Ryman League Division One South champions Folkestone Invicta, has scored 11 goals in ten appearances this season.

The 20-year-old has had spells with Chelsea, Brentford and Gillingham as a youngster.

Luke Maxwell has returned to Birmingham after they wanted him training with them fully and Max O'leary has returned to Bristol City after injuries to their back up keeper.

Really wish Maxwell the best of luck it was really good to see an academy graduate get signed by a Championship team. He's been a key player all season as well and hopefully he can make it at that level.

Names won't be confirmed for a couple of weeks but we have agreed deals for seven new players already.

Liam Hearn still not playing for Harrogate (managed 80 minutes one game and 20 the next I think).

Quite a reputation he has now, and the Harrogate fans aren't too chuffed with him.

Adam Dawson has done the same at Nuneaton, played off the bench twice then disappeared could well be injured again . Awful commitment and far too injury prone to be a pro footballer.

I've given Hearn plenty of criticism this season but I actually feel sorry for him. Clearly something is not right. Sounds horrible but he'd probably be better off retiring to be honest.

Nicky Clee has been released.
I hear whichever Manchester club gets 4th place are going after him, but the 5th placed team are not gonna waste their time as he has stated that he will only sign for a team in the Champions League.

Chorley have signed up defensive duo Adam Blakeman and Matt Challoner from Southport as well as Striker Sefton Gonzales.

We signed Gonzales last summer but he only lasted three months before being released.

Chorley fans reckon the signing of Challoner is to replace ever present right back Mark Ross who has apparently signed for County.

Brilliant stuff. Best appointment we've made since Harvey.

Btw if Alty appointing Neil Young deserves it's own thread, this definitely does too!

Isnt Coopers record pretty rubbish? Although I suppose he did well at Kettering and Swindon when they both had cash.

We've had Pennock and hockaday before this, please let us enjoy a proper manager ;)

Altrincham sign Charlie Joyce from Southport, having been on loan at Stalyvegas for a few months. I haven't knowingly seen him play, so I don't know what to make of the signing.

Lee Cook, Kaid Mohamed, Jack Midson and Josh Payne among Eastleigh's released list. Josh Payne is especially surprising, am I missing something there?

I was surprised at Payne. Will Evans is meant to be decent too isn't he? Wrong side of 30? As in you have to be over 30 to play for Eastleigh.

Will Evans is only 24 & Josh Payne 25, we were all surprised that Evans was released.
I would have kept both, but am not surprised that JP has been released. It never really happened for him at Eastleigh, although he started the season as first choice, he started less and less in the last few months, although getting a red card/3 match ban, didn't help his cause at a time when we were going through a bad patch. His work rate has often been questioned by some of the more vocal fans too.

Darlington have signed Jordan Watson and Arron Wearmouth from Blyth Spartans and Lewis Nightingale from Farsley Celtic. Martin Gray has always liked to do most of his transfer business early.

To be honest Payne was awesome in a woking team that played football, when your tactic evolves hoofing it over your midfield then no one in the middle would look good...

Lol at hoof it from an FGR fan, when you have Fatty Parkin up top that you launch it to.
Admittedly, we did rather curiously go long ball in the last 8 games of the season, which most of us fans were mystified by & it no doubt cost us a play off spot.
When you have a midfield consisting of Josh Payne, Andy Dury, Jai Reason & Luke Coulson, why on earth would you chose to go over their heads?
Its one of the 2 things our manager still hasn't explained.
The other being why is his recruitment been absolutely shit thus far, with not one of them breaking into the first team & some spending 1 month with us on loan without even stepping onto the pitch before being sent back!
