I think thats spot on. It was Grant Brown who was a huge fan. Now he isnt there, the move was off. Anyways great for us!

Mark Carrington re-signs for another year.

He's played well since taking that right back spot back at Christmas.

Player of the season a couple of years ago in that position. So it's a bit daft he's not been consistently played there really, but there you go, he'll be our right back next season.

Yes its a little risky but I am confident it will pay off. All we need now is for Sam Jones to sign a new deal and its been an excellent week!
Wouldnt expect our chairman to hand too many more 2 year deals out now.

John Goddard has signed for Swindon. Chuffed for him, has been brilliant this season. He sent his CV into the club three years ago, at a time when he wasn't getting into Hayes and Yeading's team. He picked up an injury that pre-season but Garry Hill and Steve Thompson saw potential in him and kept him around. He began to break into the first team and then became a regular. Consistency was missing from his game but he found that this season with 17 goals from midfield. Nice guy too. Wish him all the best.

Another signing for us today, this time it's David Fitzpatrick. The club have done very well to get so many players signed up so early. Some teams haven't finished playing yet while we've almost got our starting 11 sorted for next season already!

Although I agree that they are young and they could progress into half decent players, I didn't see any of that last season. Royle had a massive chance in the first home game of the season and was lucky not to have got himself sent off and Ross White has not been the same since his horrific showing in the thrashing by Telford last season. I said in another thread that this season coming up is a make or break season for Rob Evans now and I stick by it, he looks lost too many times in midfield to me and needs to improve massively, otherwise he could be another one that doesn't quite make it.

Disappointed to have lost Mark Ross to Stockport, got a good player there. Very reliable at RB, or CB, played every minute for us last season. Good news we have two new full backs signed from Southport in Challoner and Blakeman and have got Sefton Gonzalez in from Clitheroe, who I rate very highly.

You haven't seen Gonzales in this league yet.

I wouldn't have kept either of them personally, but I do think both have the potential to be decent players, White particularly although I always felt he was too small to be a CB and not quick enough to be a full back. Royle I've not seen enough if but I know some rated him quite highly.

To be fair he never got much of a chance and fell out with the manager who he still can't stand, although he never looked like scoring for us, he had a good touch but he just seemed to run around a lot.
