Yes, Hogan has gone. He plays CB or RB (mainly RB for us) and was very good until he got an injury. Lost his place and McNulty and Ihiekwe have formed a solid partnership since. He'll do well if he stays fit, a good signing by Gateshead methinks.
Thought Hogan was decent as a central defender, less so at right-back. Would have liked him to stay, but not a guaranteed starter, so understand him moving on.

Disappointed to lose Styche to Gateshead more from the reality check that is we are still not competitive financially rather than from losing the player himself, who is very average, although I liked his attitude. I suspect, as someone said, that him scoring a hat trick against Gateshead influenced their decision to sign him, but he only actually scored 1 other goal for us.

Hogan is a very good footballer, but he is forever injured, so I'm not sure he's very good value for money.

Yes Hogan was quality the half dozen or so games I saw him play, looked a promising partnership him and Sutton at the back. Very good signing for Gateshead if he can remain injury free!

I personally like the side Aspin's starting to build - two very good centre half's and I think York's decent.

Play offs I would imagine, but plenty of building left for them.

Boreham Wood have signed Bruno Andrade. Disappointed he turned down our offer. They were clearly able to pay him more money. He was inconsistent last season but when he was on it he was unplayable. Generally it's not often that a young player, who's had a fairly good season with us, moves on. Perhaps an indication of the way the club is heading at the moment with budget etc.

Boreham Wood, though, really? A club that only just survived relegation. Enjoy playing in front of no one.

We've handed our youth team captain Joe Stokes his first pro deal. Made his debut in central midfield at Dover and looked decent. Boyhood FGR fan which is an added bonus.

Strange career choice for him, I get the feeling he'll end up getting booed like Josh Payne next season, one of our best players last season and he takes a step down to Boreham wood? We really must have run out of money and next season could be a difficult one

We have signed Elliot Buchanen from Bishops today which is a shock, leading scorer coming to us after slashing wage bill by 65%.

Also got Scott Donnelly from Havant who's been a goal scoring midfielder

One of our academy lads, Jonny Smith, has joined Bristol City. We had also offered him a professional contract here.

We get a training compensation fee, and apparently there are potentially some further payments based on his progress there.

Great player, but definitely not upper L1/Championship standard.

Tend to agree with you, but plenty of players have made the step up and as he certainly has got the attributes to do so, why not?.
Selfishly am just thankful it wasn't Miller, because whilst Payne is probably the slightly better player, Miller gives the team so much more. Difference I guess between a free signing and one that would involve a transfer fee

He was borderline shocking in League Two!

Solihull have signed Nathan Vaughan, can they just change their name to Kidderminster Mark II?
Vaughan, Wilde, Byrne, Asante. There is Callum Gittings, but he never played and then went on loan to Leamington.
We signed 7 from Nuneaton last summer :bg:

Adam Boyes and Dan Atkinson have signed new deals, excellent news.
I hope we can secure Drenchy and Rob Atkinson too and build from there

I suppose Payne is worth a punt for Barnsley seeing as he's out on contract but there's no way he's that good. Last few weeks he's looked pedestrian and Miller looks twice the player he is.

I suppose he is still young and could still make it but too often we've seen players flourish under Kinnear when they've been awful elsewhere.

Good luck to him though and I'm grateful to him for two unbelievable seasons. In the top few strikers I've ever seen in a Dover shirt.

Nice to see one of our better players leaving us and going somewhere that isn't Gillingham or Ebbsfleet too!
