It's a similar situation to Kristian Dennis - I wouldn't be surprised if they were both back on loan to National League sides in January.

Scot McManus just signed a new 2 year deal - huge news!

Excellent left back that would have easily got a deal at National League level, but I imagine the fact he's been here since 2011 and that it's a 2 year deal convinced him to stay.

You'd hope so. It's more concerning what it represents really, Fyfield was Mills big mate. So are we likely to be re-signing the players we are still waiting on? I though Fyfield was nailed on to sign back on.

He's decent enough but we need better players than Fyfield. Pleased he's gone but I don't really trust Mills to bring in anyone better to be honest.

It's a little unusual though don't you think?

I like Fyfield. When he's on his game he's a decent player, and he's left footed too which is a bonus. His mind does tend to wander though, with Sean Pejicesque lapses in concentration. He's replaceable. They all are. If they weren't we wouldn't have had such a poor defensive record.

I rated him when I saw him - and If we hadn't signed 6'5" "Moose" I think we would have tried to sign him....

If they both sign any more we will have Wrexham, Wrexham reserves and Wrexham 'A' in the league next season....

Very surprised at Fyfield getting a two year deal somewhere else. Wouldn't have been keen on giving him one at Wrexham, but then I suppose Gateshead have to offer an extra bit of security to temp players to relocate up there. I doubt any other team would have given Wes York a two year deal either. And I do quite like Fyfield, being left footed brings balance to the defence, but he really needs someone around him telling him to get back into position and things like that. Something that I've seen Blaine Hudson do, but Manny Smith never did. And he's not much good as a left back if Gateshead think they're gettting someone decent to cover that position.

Not a new signing, but Scott Davies has signed a new 2 year deal with us. Huge bonus because he's been great this season. Wouldn't swap him for any other keeper in the league and the second year is massive plus too.

Luke Young has signed a new contract with us today. Fantastic News. He was out for most of last season with an injury he picked up in pre-season. But made a real difference when he returned for the last 6 or 7 games of the season. When he is in form there isn't many better central midfielders in the national league.

Our youth player Josh Venney has been offered a further 12 months. The promotion has probably helped as well have more funds to keep him on. Looks a good prospect, small midfielder who can pass it abit.
