Yess he can play as an emergency striker which he did regularly for Heanor in the NCEL. His only appearance for us as a striker was against yourselves and by that stage he was uninterested so was poor.

Not very well at all.
He was overweight and unfit and showed absolutely no desire to change that.
He was probably the highest paid player in the division for the few months he was here, a massive gamble that we expected would push us into the playoffs and he was just a laughing stock.
It became rather unpleasant towards the end with him gesturing to our fans on more than 1 occasion.
He'll need a better attitude if he's to get another club.

He did okay for us, you knew that you wernt going to get a player who chased down every lost cause but he won headers and scored a few goals. I think there is still a football league player in there if he works hard over the summer.

Hopefully Charlie can get the 20 goals he is aiming for next season. Reading his comments on the website I am impressed with his attitude.

I really don't get this Steve jennings hate. Him and Harris are a very capable midfield pair in this division if we can get more attacking fullbacks and another winger to partner Mekki.

I don't hate Steve Jennings, in fact I think he's a better player than Harris. The 2 of them are just too similar to play in the same midfield together.

Is it really asking too much to expect your central midfielders to do some creative work, rather than being reliant on wide players to create all the chances??
Our midfield improved when Jeff Hughes came in, though Brabin played him out wide too often. I don't mind Jennings or Harris and have no issue with playing them together in away games, but agree with Back in the DHSS that they're too similar. If we seriously want to get out of this league, we need to have a more positive pairing in central midfield at home.

Justham was really not very good at all I'm afraid, you are just never entirely sure that one isn't going to roll through his legs at any moment. He just looks really awkward in everything he does. Really poor kicking as well. There was a guy on this forum who watches a lot of games say he was the worst keeper he had seen last season and he did have some real shockers last season when Tyler was out.

There was a time where people thought he looked promising (must admit I have never been a fan), and we were going to keep him around as a number 2 so maybe a reuniting with Still will help him.

When he left here he said he was going to a club where he would be the clubs number 1 keeper so I would assume Still has made some sort of promise to him.

I think it's more Aspin's rep of getting players to the football league than yourselves as a club. Probably has the best record of any manager in the last 5 years down here for taking players, developing them and getting them a good move.

Interesting. We apparently we only offering no more than £150-200 a week to most players last season so we cant have offered a huge wage I wouldnt have thought. Perhaps down to location and first team opportunities. Time will tell to see if Conference North is his level.

Ihiekwe also signs a new one year contract, bit surprised and disappointed it wasn't a two year deal though.

Very happy he's signed up, him and Mcnulty formed a very good partnership second half of last season keeping 10 clean sheets in 20. He's only 23 and can tell he's no doubt learning alot from Mcnulty.
