We've already got Carrington signed up. Would be amazed if Smith signed, he's League One quality. Jennings I am 50-50 about, would like to keep him but not too fussed if he leaves.
Yes Very Surprised Notts County allowed Smith to go especially to non-league.

From Barnsley, left Telford to join them earlier this season. Anyone remember much about him? Can't say I've ever heard of him!
Yeah he was a decent little player for Telford. He scored 6 goals in his short period with them including a hattrick. Not bad in just 14 apperances

Chris Stokes has had his loan at Coventry extended until the end of the season. He's been playing regularly and doing well by all accounts, so he could well end up making the move permanent in the summer.

Great news. We have signed former Mansfield and Wrexham striker Jake Speight on loan from Harrogate till the end of the season. It will be his second spell here. He was impressive first time around scoring 5 times in 6 apperances durings a months loan from Mansfield in 2013. Delighted with this. I should imagine he will replace Joe Ironside who hasnt been himself since he signed an 18 month contract on his return from Hartlepool.

We've also just signed Al Bangura. You were right about Stokes being able to make the step up so any idea with this guy???

3 young lads have agreed new one year deals as has Nat Brown, which is a disappointment if I'm honest.

A noticeable drop in his performances this season, although if we're planning on having him as a back-up then I'd understand.

I know but that was 6 years ago.

I think he might have gone to somewhere like Kazakhstan between leaving Watford and joining FGR. Our then manager Dave Hockaday, now at Coventry, had worked with him when he was at Watford. People criticise Hockaday for not having a tactical brain but for some reason he seems to have the same effect as the Pied Piper of Hamelin when it comes to players he has worked with before. I wouldn't be surprised to see more players who have worked with him turn up at Coventry, to be fair, some of them (like Stokesy) were actually quite good.

BIG fan of Jake, good finisher, works hard! Stronger then you'd expect, not sure how he's been since he left us but was great in his season here

He's a solid holding midfielder with the odd touch of class imo, looks to receives the ball off the defence and keeps things simple. In that sense he's suited to a possession based style rarely seen at this level, as he'll do a good job keeping things ticking over in midfield but it wont be at pace. He can get forward and play more adventurous passes, but what frustrated some of our fans was that he rarely did, preferring to play a lot of sideways and backwards passes. Quite tenacious in the tackle as well.

Overall I'd say he's another where playing at a better level with better players might bring out the best in him, he's shown at Watford in the past that he's got the ability. In terms of him making it for you, I'd say he's more of a 50/50 shot, as unlike Stokes he isn't a young player on an upward trajectory willing to learn and improve, and can have the odd tantrum when things aren't going his way. If he's well managed and gets game time in a possession based system, with good movement around him, there's a good chance he'll do well.

I hope he does because he's a really decent bloke.

Is there anybody at all that you have ever spoken about who you have not described as "a decent bloke"?

Hornchurch have signed Danny Woodards, formerly of Bristol Rovers and others. He seems to have broken his metatarsal while at Tranmere who then let him go in January . Assuming he is recovered enough for the Ryman Prem, anyone know if he is the "steady-the-ship" type that we need for our relegation battle?

Seems we have lost some of yesterdays posts. Eddie Oshodi has returned to football and has signed for Hemel Hempstead Town

Only just caught up with this. As Joe said, one hell of a signing for Hemel. Presumably he has realised that whatever he wants to do outside football, the part time wage from it can be useful while he gets himself started

We've signed goalkeeper Michael Crowe on loan from Ipswich. I believe Jake Cole picked up a late injury on Saturday.

Danny was quality for us until he got a very bad injury.
