Well Paul Clayton has joined Harrogate permanently. He is an absolute CLUB LEGEND. He was the clubs 3rd highest goalscorer and 5 highest apperance maker. After joining from Parkgate of the NCEL in January 2008 he scored 114 goals in 311 appearances in 8 illustrious seasons. He will be badly missed by everyone that's for sure

Torquay fans opinions? Can only assume Mackreth is going to be out longer than expected and Jolley isn't performing as we hoped.

Had a good first game and then tailed off and looked completely out of his depth. His level must be below this one for sure.

Very similar to Jolley and Mackreth then, skin their men time and again, then cross along the floor to the first defender!!

Like 90% of wingers in this league then, still it never hurts to have competition and we are short on wingers at the moment, shown last night by taking jolley off and then seemingly having all three subs coming on and having a stint on the left wing

For whatever reason a section of our fans see it fit to slag him off. Despite the fact he's got the most assists in the team.

I can only presume because he's not been the absolute world beater people presumed he would be, they think he's underperforming. The stats show he's not, and he's certainly got better as the seasons gone on.

Don't know if any of that was aimed at my comment about his crosses hitting the first defender, but I certainly was not slagging him off, I like him and have watched his marked improvement as the seasons gone on, but it is frustratingly true that he is not very good at crossing.
Would still be in my team though.

Lets be honest Kiddy aren't exactly easy to beat right now are they even with Gowling.

Seems like another decent signing to me, cover for CB which we don't really have except for Parslow and our assistant manager..

2 signings in 2 days that provide cover should we get any injuries/suspensions in the final few games and by sounds of things 2 signings Hurst has tried to get before but not been able to (guessing on Gowling there but wouldn't surprise me), so get them while they are available in case we want to keep them for next season too.

Gowling will be lucky to even play for us, it's just for cover i'm sure. Happy to have somebody of that quality sat on the bench.
