we've just signed jack evans from eastbourne. he played a season in the national for tamworth apparently, does anyone here know if he's any good or not?

He was at Sutton for a large part of the 14/15 season. Wasn't amazing for us.

Don't know where the funds have come from for us to pay a fee, but from a fans forum last week it does sound like the club is in a much much healthier position than 12 months ago. Sounds like the off the pitch side of things has improved drastically.

He played well for us 2 seasons ago up til he got sent off at Southport on either Boxing Day or New Years Day and was anonymous after that, although his mother was unwell, which was the reason he left us to join a club nearer home.

FGR and Tranmere have the best teams, closely followed by Eastleigh I'd say. I'm not convinced by any of their managers though, which could make it interesting.

He was recovering from injury by all accounts and he certainly took his goal well tonight. We'll see I suppose but have to think that you don't get a goal every other game by sheer luck.

Think Eastleigh were unlucky in that he wasn't fully fit and was not in a good frame of mind due to be stuffed around by the new Portsmouth manager. Given Scott Bartlett is one of his best friends plus he's mates with Frear and Sincs - think he'll be a lot happier here.

Good news about Margetts, as I put in the rumour thread, didn't get much of a look in at Tranmere with all the strikers they had last season. Hopefully being here and getting a decent run of games he can continue his excellent strike rate.
