Sets the start of your summer up pretty nicely, that.

Cracking player, was disappointed we let him go last summer.

Not a signing but big Duane O'Achie has left us. He'd been on compassionate leave for the last few weeks as his sister passed away and now he's left. Shame as I thought he had potential but it's understandable - Devon is miles away from anywhere. Good luck to the lad, reckon he'll get a contract somewhere in the South East (whether in this league or the South). If he drops down he'll be a good player at that level.

All the best to him.

In other news, apparently Dale Tonge and Tom Cruise have gone, with Martin Rice soon to follow. Tonge I'm delighted about, Cruise I'm disappointed with + Rice…well, a good servant but lacking ability.

Rumours other clubs are interested in Ajala (out of contract) and Bowman (under contract), so will see what happens. Certainly going to be another busy summer down here.

Jon Nolan agrees a new deal.

Didn't see that one coming, thought he'd be off.

Are we the first to release players?

Duane O'Achie
Dale Tonge
Elliot Benyon
Martin Rice
Aaron Downes
Krystian Pearce
Courtney Cameron
Mickey Parcell
Tom Cruise

All gone.

We've offered deals to Toby Ajala, Levi Ives and Dan Lavercombe, both of the youth system who've featured this season.

Hargreaves is waiting to see what budget we have next year before offering deals to Ben Harding, Ashley Yeoman and the three non-contract players James McQuilkin, Aaron Dawson and Olivier Gueguen.

Personally I'm content with the majority of that. O'Achie I feel has potential, but off-field issues meant his stay in Devon was a short one. No sourness there and I wish him well. Tonge and Benyon can both go to never return, both high earners who've been terrible. Rice is a tryer but lacks quality. Downes has been excellent on the whole, but unfortunately he's so slow nowadays and always prone to a ridiculous error. Pearce has been terrible this year - and wants a move back north. Cameron should have been able to destroy this division - instead he's been poor. Parcell is a youthie who's been on loan at Truro - and done well apparently - but CH feels he won't be around our squad next year. Cruise is permanently injured.

Ajala would be a decent addition if he stays, as would Ives and Lavercombe. I don't see Ajala or Ives sticking around though. Harding I would offer a reduced wage too. I'd let Yeoman go now. The three non-contracts I'd offer cheap one year deals too, I think.

Flattered to deceive hugely this year. Ended last season really well, tearing down the wing all the time and so on. This year, bar one or two games in August, he's been cack. Injuries have played a part, but rightfully released. I imagine Jordan Chapell will follow after his loan at Grimsby ends.

Reckon he's still got something in there - just needs a consistent run of games to get it. Wouldn't surprise me to see him go to a L2 team around the Midlands.

Kevin Nicholson announced on Twitter he's leaving us after the Eastleigh game. A shame, but not a huge surprise with his travel needs and our reduced budget. I know he was getting involved with coaching our Academy team and has expressed an interest in management. Is there any chance of him returning to you in a backup player/coach (or even assistant manager role) do you reckon? I wish him very well, he has been a great professional for us and I would welcome him back to Kiddy in some capacity in the future.

I know Nicho still lives down here and when he left us he said he wants to come back as manager in the future. We have no idea what sort of budget we will have next season - with the takeover acting like a cloud over the club at the moment. I don't see him returning in a playing capacity to be honest, though perhaps as a youth coach or something but again that depends purely on what our financial situation is like.

Yeah he's a solid pro, I was glad he went last summer as everything had just gone completely stale and he and Mansell had gained too much power in the club, I think.

Risky Business releasing Tom Cruise, if you ask me.

I think it'd be mission impossible to find a joke worse than that, SoC.

Unfortunately we'll be losing the best players, have signed up some right dross and will release the two donkeys left in Mendy and Jordan.

Sam Russell has confirmed on twitter that he'll be leaving the club this summer. Top goalkeeper at this level who was very unlucky to lose his place to Steve Arnold,
