Aren't there any rules in the NL in regards to financial fair play, Salford are signing players that should never in a million years be playing at this level. Absolutely shocked to see the likes of Gaffney and Lloyd sign for them, Adam Rooney as well?! FFS, really hope it goes tits up for them, we don't want another bank rolled village club in the league.
It'll be interesting to see what happens if they go up this season because with having no wage cap in the NL, spending whatever they are on wages with a, presumably, small turnover and to then try and fit in with the FL's 55% wage cap will prove to be very difficult for them.

Chris FGR or The Jovial Forester will probably be able to tell you how difficult it was for FGR last season, in what I imagine were similar circumstance, particularly in the first half of the season where their hands seemed quite tied financially.

The signing of Adam Rooney is actually sickening!

He's swapped Europa League football for trips to Boredom Wood and Harrogate Town.

He's on 4k a week, the same as Danny Lloyd. Plus Rory Gaffney will probably be on similar.

I’m admiring you commitment to this new superfan persona, dull as it is.

Don’t take things so seriously, all is said in jest. I refer you to the cycle of BELTs I produced last season to see the stage of the cycle I’m at. Also a wardrobe attacked me and broke my foot so I’m currently gurning me nuts off on meds and morphine, sitting at home being fed grapes at the bedside by Dawn French. Cut me some slack man.

Twitter say Rooney is on 5.5k a week and Twitter is gospel. Crazy money. They should win the league at an absolute canter

Yeah cos Dinagae is a real word aswell.

It's what Glaswegian fans of National League teams say when their team is away at Borehamwood.

"I say Angus, did you end up going to see your team play association football at Borehamwood at the weekend?"
"No, I dinagae"

The twitter bible is also saying he’s on 3 times Pools’ highest earner so if that’s true, which it undoubtedly is as it’s twitter, then it means our top earners are getting around 1.5 to 1.7k a week which is even quite high for this league.

Interesting to see Gaz Nev talking about protecting grass roots then his hobby club go and do that. He’s such a premiership vanity twat and he can stick his fucking Manchester towers and tinpot club right where his managerial career went, down the fucking toilet.

What was the transfer fee for Rooney? They've probably had to smash the non-league transfer record to bring him in surely?

Liam Noble was said to be on around £3k a week at FGR (according to one of their directors when they visited our place), so I'd be surprised if he's on less than half that now. To be fair, lots of teams in this league will be chucking out more than £1k p/w at their star players.

The amount of jealousy in here is staggering. Rooney should score about 50 goals this league.

Lee Molyneaux finally confirmed for us now. The hold up was at Guiseley's end, sorting out his contract. We've got four full backs now, so can see at least one of them being bumped into midfield.

He scored a goal every four games last season in a league of roughly similar quality to lower L1/upper L2.

There is no way he gets anywhere near 50 in the NL, he'll do well to get 30.
No one will ever get 50 goals, I thought that was just a deliberate exaggeration. There’s no doubts that he’s better than this league though, that’s where the jealousy stems from, which is natural.

He played left midfield/winger for us but always migrated to the right to be able to cut inside onto
his left foot.

And our keeper, Steve Arnold, has signed for Shrewsbury! It leaves us with zero keepers for the start of the season, but we've got two on trial, one of which is likely to be signing.

Nobody is jealous of Salford, it's just that they are the scum of the earth that's all.

Backed by a deceitful rat who has somehow found himself in charge of our national team.

Not so much jealousy as much as inflation creating clubs like Salford drive up costs, which, at this level, could well end up bankrupting a few.

I thought all of the FGR forwards each scored 50 goals a couple of seasons ago?

God he’s shite. How did he manage that? Car crash of a keeper when we played you

That's rich coming from a Solihull fan.

They’re not bankrolled are they?

Was that the televised game where he conceded a couple of easy goals?
He's a decent shot stopper, but everything else is just terrible. Never had a keeper so bad at kicking.
