That explains it then. Never seen a keeper as bad as Coughlin when kicking it out of his hands. It would balloon high into the air but with a lot of spin and a short distance. Mind you, Chris Dunn’s goalkicks last season were atrocious. Barely made it to the halfway line, like he had ankles made out of rubber.

Simply because clubs with fan numbers like ours could not survive at National level without being bankrolled.
I recall Sean St.Ledger remarking that serious amounts of money were spent at Solihull in your successful bid to survive. Good luck to anybody that is fortunate enough to be in that position so long as it doesn't kill your club

Maidenhead have signed Chesham winger Ravi Shamsi. He destroyed us in the county cup last season but I've heard he rarely turned up at Chesham and his attitude was poor. Devonshire won't tolerate bullshit though so can hopefully get the best out of him. Very slight but technically gifted player.

Scott Boden signs for Gateshead after trial spell. Biggest disappointment of last season for me. I think we didn’t play to his strengths a lot of the time, but even when we did he still looked on his heels the majority of the time. Pretty sure we used a cattle prod on him at half time, because he’d come out like we’d fired him out of a cannon chasing the defenders down, but it wouldn’t last. He scored a really good header vs Macclesfield too and we were hoping that he’d really kick on after breaking his duck, but not much changed. Expect him to score bucket loads now.

Scotty will score goals as long as he is allowed to get stay in around the box, He was expected to run out wide to much last year, we really didn't suit him. Great first touch, Decent hold up play but he had 0 confidence in front of goal
