Not a signing but we have released Andy Kellett, good player but face didn’t seem to fit under Ardley for whatever reason. Would be a decent signing for anyone in this division or L2 if fit and on his game IMO.

We've signed Matt Platt on loan from Blackburn for the rest of the season. A big solid centre back who we had on loan a few seasons back, he's 21 and not quite made the grade yet (though was on the bench for a Championship game this season). We're desperate for a player like him as our centre backs have been our weak spot so far.
He'll go straight into our team for Saturday, I'm sure.

Notts have signed Kyle Wootton on a season long loan. To be honest I see why we have signed a target man, but quite liked the fact that not having one forced us to play football and to stretch the opposition teams by playing a pacey player alongside a finisher in Dennis.

Best of luck to Kyle who I hope at the very least can hold the ball up. We've missed that as a team since Shola left

I think he’s more likely to be an option than a regular starter with Dennis and Thomas being the preferred front two, but useful to have a different threat.

Our attacking options are pretty ridiculous now tbh.

Hopefully he's good at holding the ball up cos scoring goals doesn't seem to be his forte.

Definitely feels like the officially going for it klaxon has been sounded but I do feel that trying to bounce back at first attempt will be our best shot. Otherwise our budget is always just going to get smaller and smaller and attracting players will get harder.

Got to hope that football radar can help identify some rough diamonds like Regan Booty

That's actually what we need. We struggle to hold the ball up, did all last season. If he can play with his back to goal, is strong and has a good enough touch to lay the ball off he'll be a real asset.
We have the fore power in Dennis and Thomas, Tyson should be good for ten they just need support from a physical unit.

Two in for us on loan today. Ollie Shenton from Stoke until January and Jamie Sharman from Chesterfield for a month.

Wrexham/Chesterfield fans - any thoughts on these?

Is Shenton seriously still on Stoke's books? He was highly rated there about 5 years ago and they kept offering him new deals despite never playing him.

He is a little left-footed midfield chubster. Got loads of technical ability, I thought he could have been decent but he came to us in a poor team.

Still only 21 to be fair. Most teams in the top 2 divisions hold onto their young pros until at least that age nowadays.

We've also signed free agent goalie Luke O'Brien who has been training with Notts County.

We've signed Ben Whitfield on a permanent deal after his release from Port Vale. We've also signed centre-back Robbie Cundy on loan from Bristol City after they recalled him from his loan at Exeter.

Best of luck to Ben. His ability is unquestionable just if he is prepared to knuckle down and put the work in. If he does then I doubt there will be many better players in the division.

I got the same impression when he was with us. Obviously talented but needs to apply himself more.

When he was with us he was one of the few players to put the effort in. Didn't always come off but he was loved by the fans becuase he always put in 110%. Surprised to hear he's not had the work rate after us.

Ryan Seager has joined Havant & Waterlooville on loan. Shame it hasn't worked out for him, but ultimately he's had enough chances now and I don't think he's good enough. Saying that hopefully he goes there scores a hatful and comes back full of confidence.

It would be nice to see a true local lad who stood on the terrace as a youngster living the dream but I agree, he's had a number of chances and not taken them.
