Good signing in m view, was very surprised he wasn't playing for them when we played a Harrogate recently. Good player.

Was sub against us recently too - looked extremely unfit, and Harrogate fans seem to suggest he's gone downhill a lot of late.

We’ve picked up Jack Powell on loan from Crawley - seems like he’s spent a fair bit of time in the NL recently with Maidstone and Ebbsfleet, so what’s he like?

I found him very hit and miss.
He would have a great game where you think ''wow we got some player here'' and then he would disappear for 5-6 games.

Get used to lots of sideways & backwards passes and corners that never go past the front post (It used to drive me mad watching him continue taking every corner when pretty much everyone could see he was useless at them).

One thing I will say is hes brilliant at free kicks, anything just outside the box and hes a real threat.

He was woeful last time. Totally immobile with zero control. Im not sure he made it outside of the centre circle.

I really hope he's improved

I think this is an excellent signing personally. Barnet have looked a goalscorer away from being title contenders so far this season. Pavey has hit goals at this level in poor teams. It stands to reason that he will get chances in a team that has better players surrounding him.

13 in 53 since the start of last season, not exactly a goalscorer. He's looked slow and plodding every time I've seen him, which is the last thing our attack needs although if he can win headers and hold the ball up that's at least something different.

I'm so underwhelmed with this, Currie has been so picky for so long that I wasn't expecting us to settle for a big slow lump.

I've seen him play a few times and I like him. He's not a world beater but every time he's played against us, he's been given good service and tended to score. Midfield looks like your strongest area and I think you'll make chances for him.

I missed his first spell with us, brief as it was.
I live in hope. Jack Stacey was appalling in a loan spell for us in 15/16 and look at him now, playing in the Premier League for Bournemouth!

We don’t need a world beater up front. Just someone to occupy the defence, give us a target on crosses and someone able to bring others in to play with his back to goal.

If Pavey does that well, he won’t need to be prolific to make a big difference to our results.

Let’s not forget, he was 17 when he played for us on loan so here’s hoping he’s improved.

I don't know who Glebe are, but he was with us at the end of last season and looked a decent player. I think we would have offered him a deal too but he wasn't prepared to move up north long-term. Interesting to see if he's at that level for long or if he's just getting his fitness up etc.

Yes, he did well in pre-season and looked good in his starts holding the ball up/leading the line but it just hasn't been going in for him (though not just him, we're ridiculously low-scoring), hope this gets him ticking.
