So he’d rather keep unhappy players?

I thought he said he was cutting the cloth? Going off Twitter It seems he’s trying to fiddle scouts and players out of money and there is mutiny in the ranks.

Yes he would definitely rather keep unhappy players. They've signed contracts, they got us into this mess. They can get us out of it. No idea what Bradley's problem is. Probably wanted more money like they all do, that's the problem. So they get told to do one. Like Lynch, although we should have just paid him he was that good and as for the scout, he doesn't deserve paying. He's done a piss poor job. He should be paying us in fact.

Unless there is something in their contracts saying they can move on should we get relegated. I can't see that though as we were favourites.

Of course I could be wrong though. Losing walker or Williams would be a massive blow to us and I know they're not going to want to play in the north but both are under contract and we need them next season

I wouldn’t be surprised if we tried to sign Walker - I think we thought about it when you did, Ardley pretty much said as much when we played you and was very complimentary about him. Think we got Roberts instead, but he won’t be here for long.

You don't stand a chance. Only players we let go are players we don't want. The Danny rowe situation proved that. Our owner won't let anyone go that'll weaken us. He wants out of the North at the first attempt

Uh oh, someone hasn't been paying attention to your owner! He's scaling back your funding and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of your players are jumping at the bit to play in a league higher for one of the biggest clubs in the league with the biggest ambition.

Whether Walker/Croasdale/Williams go to County or another team in this division, one thing is for sure you probably aren't keeping them.

Player power trumps all, and most of yours aren't happy because your owner appears to have acted very unscrupulously.

You’re talking their chairman at face value when he says he’s cutting back the spending on the squad but I think he was just saying that to try and force the wage cap issue front and centre and have excuses for cutting the women’s team etc.

I heard the coach on 5 Live and she said they were reinstated but they were paying all their own costs. What a charitable man the Fylde chairman really is.

Bradley’s career never recovered from him becoming homesick for the North and/or realising that playing at the Hive was too prestigious a stage for him back in 2014.

Maybe, I doubt it though. Plenty of reasonable circumstances to why he might be being truthful in how he is scaling back some of the funds.

I vaguely remember that he seemed to think we were part time and didn't seem to understand the training requirements in the contract he signed so we let him go by mutual consent.

All very strange, but we got a superior replacement in Lee Cook so it didn't matter.

He's not great defensively so L1 is a massive step up for him, probably the best wing back in this league attacking wise though.
Well that's a lie. That accolade belongs to Sam Minihan........

Seriously???

I love Sam’s energy down the right but his end product is very poor the vast majority of the time.

Vincelot is a very good signing if he can stay fit, similar player to Jim O’Brien for us.

Stockport County.
Stevenage will be up there next year. Wouldn't mind them getting a reprieve up in League Two.

Gary Johnson has confirmed the signings of Danny Wright and Andrew Nelson, from Solihull and Dundee respectively. I remember Danny Wright being alright in his Cheltenham days but seems to be getting on abit - Thoughts on him Solihull fans?

And Andrew Nelson is an unknown to many of us, played for Dundee last couple seasons and has had a spell at Darlington in the NLN previously too - how'd he get on with you lot Darlo fans?

Genuinely surprised that Andrew Nelson didn't kick on into the Football League after his short spell with us. He looked raw at that point but had plenty of attributes to be a success. I'd say he's pretty direct, likes to get the ball in into feet, get turned and carry it forward 5 or 10 yards before a shot. Not particularly tall but good build and strong enough to hold defenders off.

Think he has suffered with some bad injuries during his youth days but as soon as he got the confidence of scoring a goal in his first game he was the shining light of a poor team and our form with him in the team over christmas was the main reason we stayed up that year.

If you want to see what he did for us, scoring 6 in just 5 games:
- scored both goals vs Chorley
- Scored 2 vs York
- scored a long range winner vs Ashton

If you keep him fit can see that being a good signing at NL level and one with plenty of potential and a good age to make you some cash in the future.

Thanks for that JE93! Dundee fans seem disappointed to see him go so hopefully it turns out to be a decent signing for us. Both he and Danny Wright have some big boots to fill and some goals to score as replacements for Jamie Reid.
