Vincelot played for Crawley in league 2 as a centre half. By no means the worst I've seen play for us but he wasn't quick and the bigger forwards battered him.

He seemed to then have a falling out with manager (Kewell) and was transferred on a freebie to Salop where he picked up a season ending injury. Not sure how much he played last term.

Indeed, just needs Joe Quigley to join his 32nd London based Conference club and we're all set.

Blisset must be taking a 400% wage cut for that transfer to happen!

Feels like football is very close to normality now with this classically Conference transfer.

Roll on the new season.
We await J'Lo's next move before we can properly crack on.

Aidan Keena signing for Falkirk for personal reasons. Missus is up the duff apparently.

That leaves us with 0 forwards.

Squad is taking shape quite nicely.

He was on our books but never played a game. Nevertheless, hope we retire his shirt number.

Collin is a good signing for National North level.

Not looking great, he looked like a decent poacher, we’ve now got 1 defender and 0 strikers, good job we’ve got ourselves a budget booster innit:shut:

He needs to get a shift on though as Richard Pacquette is closing in fast, only a few clubs away from him and has age on his side.

Have hartlepool got any players left?

We released him, fortunately. So technically they didn't sign him from us.

We have 1 defender left and he is always injured but looks a very good prospect when he plays.

Even though we have no players at the moment,it's still better than having him on the books.
Utterly hopeless.

Still get horrendous flashbacks thinking about that solid partnership of Michael Raynes and Fraser Kerr.

Fucking hell, we've had some terrible defenders in this league.

Looks like a solid signing then!

How was he thought of at Gateshead? Imagine he'll still be an upgrade on Jean-Yves Koue Niate from the first half of last season though.

I think you had Myles Anderson? Well he's better than Fraser put it that way.

He was highly thought of at Gateshead but he was also voted the worst ever Motherwell player before he dropped down.

I honestly thought he'd go to Darlo or Blyth as that's about his level.

Yeah, Anderson seemed like a solid NL defender when with us.

We've also signed Gary Warren after his release from Exeter. 35, but definitely improved us at the back when we had him on loan last season so happy with that signing.

Thanks pools fans! it seems that GJ does pick up the odd stinker along the way, hopefully he is just backup to warren and Cameron at the CB.

Gateshead fan I met said they played him in a back 3 and he was good but whenever he played in a 4 he struggled. He played in both with us and was marginally less shit (but still shit) in a 3 so if you play 352 or 532, maybe there's some hope for him.

Yeah, Anderson seemed like a solid NL defender when with us.

I didn't mind him, he was whole hearted and does a lot of charity work so hope he gets fixed up. As you say, decent for a lower half club but if you want to be better than that he comes up short. Still rather him than Kerr any day.
