Looks like a solid signing then!

How was he thought of at Gateshead? Imagine he'll still be an upgrade on Jean-Yves Koue Niate from the first half of last season though.
If your in the pub before the game & his name is on the team sheet, make sure you have a bloody good drink.

I think you had Myles Anderson? Well he's better than Fraser put it that way.

He was highly thought of at Gateshead but he was also voted the worst ever Motherwell player before he dropped down.

I honestly thought he'd go to Darlo or Blyth as that's about his level.
We decided getting our new centre half from a promoted Division 2 team seemed a better idea. Unless Radged get's his finger out, his level could be your level next year.

Makes a change from signing our cast offs even if this bloke is pushing 52 so well done for that.

I havent paid any attention to the National league for months (I've been all about the K League- Go Pohang Steelers) why are Stockport buying so many ex-Wrexham players?

Connor Jennings is a top signing. Rooney is good when he can be bothered....the others...meh.

There'll be 4 signings over the weekend & none of them knocking on 37.

Aye but one of them is Rhys Oates, he’s about as threatening in the box as Dale Winton.

I think everyone else covered Fraser Kerr quite well, the bloke is a walking disaster, to think we paid money for him as well, horrific.

Imagine buzzing over signing Nicky Hunt:fl:

Oates' work rate was always good and DC seems to like a workhorse up top. I wouldn't start him but could be a useful sub at this level. He wouldn't cost much either. I'd think the other three will be on good deals (particularly Shelton) so if squad players can come cheaper for a strong 1st XI so be it.

Suppose we need to temper expectations when it comes to signings since we’re kinda skint, the lad was only 19 when he first signed for us, seems like he’s been around forever

Hardly buzzing, but he seems an infinately better prospect for us than a centre half you all think a donkey. Experience is exactly what we needed. Mind you, at our level, Laing was nowhere near as bad as you made out.

I remember when we had Laing on loan as a good League One side and he was so impressive we all thought he was just popping in on his way to a career at the top level. Weird how it turns out sometimes.

Laing is playing against players who have 9-5 jobs, if he couldn’t cut it at regional level with your lot he may as well give up.

I remember him playing for County at Pools & he was excellent.
I was over the moon when he signed, but he was terrible.
We seem to be the experts at ruining decent players.

DC interview on Tees last night was very positive, but I suppose he has to be.
I don't know if you heard it,but he said we'd be very pleased with one signing in particular.
Rumours that their are 8 players coming in.

I posted on the rumours page, it's supposedly Danny Graham from Blackburn.

We didn't have a chance to ruin him, I think the Maidenhead debacle on TV was his first game and you just knew from then on.

That half hearted pass across our own box, that rolled about four foot for the Maidenhead player to stroll ahead and bang it in still haunts me to this day, like a Vietnam style flashback.

Yeah,I've heard that but didn't want to post in case it's a load of shyte.
Don't know if was hearing things, but I'm sure DC said there was going to be a big announcement & at the time he wasn't talking about players.
I also thought he said the club's future is secure?

He did mention it being a very busy day new signings aside so who knows?

Probably just Rhys Oates wearing the new home kit:shut:

We've signed Lee Martin. Not quite as experienced as J-Lo or Richard Pacquette but well travelled all the same.

Only seen him play a couple of times, but that would havd been a few years ago. Not sure what he's like these days.

Rated Goodman at Maidenhead, not sure what he was like at Bromley. Didn't realise he lives in Gravesend either, nice easy commute for him.

I like that we're not going about transfers like the last time we were in the South. Reckon there's about 7 more to come with perhaps a couple of loanees, but I'm quietly confident with what we've signed thus far!

Until we fail to pay them that is!
