We’ve signed Jamie Grimes from Hereford.

Was absolutely brilliant against us in the Trophy quarter final earlier this season, best player on the pitch. Good signing for you lot.

Happy with the Grimes signing from the comments I’ve seen on here and social media about him, sounds like an absolute rock who just loves to defend

Central defence wise that now gives us Gunning, Kerr, Maguire, Hollis and Grimes which considering we play a back 3 is about right. Wouldn’t be surprised to see us take someone on a 6 month loan though to cover for Hollis whilst he’s injured

Surely we’re not after another striker when we have Asante (from December), Rowe, Mitchell, Tyson and Denton all signed on for next season!?

What I want to see us going and doing is bringing in a couple of nippy wingers that can beat a man with pace/skill, as that is definitely something we’re lacking

Stefan Payne was at Dover too, mainly up front with Ricky Miller. Rescued from Essex somewhere and left us for Barnsley.
A good NL player still I'd imagine if his mind's right.
Has behaviour issues though. Headbutting his own teammate last season, gesturing at his own fans whilst at Bristol Rovers.

Payne has had two spells at Sutton. The first as a 17 year old when he was phenomenal and very quickly earned a move to Premier League Fulham. He rejoined a few years later after playing for a few FL teams. His second spell did not go so well. He was lazy and uncommitted. Interestingly for Sutton supporters his uncle is club legend Craig Dundas

There is Hereford fans but our season ended that long ago I doubt many check. He is a quality CB surprised he's still only 30 so he's definitely got a few good years left.

Payne is an ok player but has a terrible attitude.

He wasn’t even an ok player for us, he was absolutely garbage and played like he had cement in his boots.

He scrapped with Morais because the ball wasn’t played into his feet and there were genuinely 6-7 occasions in his spells where he had the ball played 1-2 yards in front of him and still didn’t move. The best being the image below.

Have to agree with others, Payne was poor, came with promise at similar time to LJL having both played for Hurst at Shrewsbury leading them to lge 1 play-offs.

Think he scored very early, maybe even his debut and that as about the only thing he did. After that he looked like a worse Matt Green (which is difficult in itself) and finished it by fighting with his own player and getting sent off on the way to the tunnel at HT, never to be seen again thankfully.

Devinte Redmond has signed on for another season, I think he's the last of the players who were offered new contracts so now just the little matter of appointing thw manager and bringing in some new faces.

Redmond only had 2 sub appearances last season so was a shock he was offered a new deal but he's got a lot of ability so hopefully he actually shows it this year.

Done well for us when he was given game time! reads the game well and is pretty rapid for a centre back, he is prone to the odd brain fart but then again who is'nt, he will do well at NL level and can only get better, good luck to him.
