To be fair Quigley has also only done a year or so down here.
He was pretty useless with us, so can be hit and miss, I guess. Maybe Barrow was just the perfect fit for him, sometimes that's just how it goes....... :ds:

Yeah. And Bennett didn't work at County, for example, so who knows. No player is a sure thing.

He likes talking to himself anyway to be fair. He still hasn't worked out I've blocked him 4 months on
Couple of problems with this sweetcheeks:
1. If you've blocked me, how do you know I haven't "worked it out"?
2. You fucking told me yourself that you'd blocked me, you dumb fuck!

Didn't think that through, huh....:ffs:

I'm finding hard to compete with this level of stupidity, I mean, I actually work quite hard at it, but this guy is just effortlessly stupid.

Maybe because he’s read my previous posts where I’ve asked you why you’re still quoting him when you know he’s blocked you.
A bit like this post where you’ve quoted him again.
Not too hard is it sweetcheeks?

No it isn't hard, in fact it's a bit soft and floppy, like your knob isn't it chuck.

We’ve signed someone we’re clearly pretty happy with, doing the whole comedy build up routine with Cal Roberts and Kyle Cameron we did when we signed the latter.

Aaron Nemane confirmed. Delighted with that, proven at this level and one we can develop.

That looks a great signing, a Torquay fan was on here raving about him. Burchnall, like Rusk at our place, has nowhere to hide this season.

We still need a proven central midfielder (if it’s who I think, then we’re cool), but other than that we look good. We’re going to score about 150 goals or something anyway. No defending, just vibes.

I'm pleased we've got a fee for Nemane. Just like my caution with Ben Whitfield for Stockport fans, I wouldn't get too excited until you've seen him play. Yes, he is very quick and intelligent, was a big part of our early season success. However, he hasn't played since early February, after he picked up a knock against Altrincham. It was all a bit mysterious because the incident looked innocuous. There were rumours he'd broken his leg in a freak gym accident.

It’s the pace that has me excited, same as Joel Taylor on the other side. We could control a game with possession last season, but we were very slow. We’ve said he’s fit now, but will be a bit behind on pre-season as he’s got a lot of base work to put in.

Oh yes, pace is Nemane's game. Hopefully he hasn't lost any with his injury. And hopefully we got some sort of sell-on clause for him if he wins you the league!

Only other thing would be whether he ever played wing back for you? Because I suspect that’s our plan. No defending, just vibes..

Yes he did. Should be a very good signing for you if fully recovered.

That lack of pace killed us last year. If we get a combative centre midfielder and a 1 in 4 no 9 signed we should go close again.
Not as sure about Bennet as everyone else seems to be, I thought he looked lightweight but did think Kaba Sherif might be worth another look, strong, robust and covered the ground.

I’m not against the idea of Bennett because he’s a left footed right sided player/number ten and we’ve got one of those we know we might need some cover for this year…

Generally though that elusive central midfielder and some capable cover/competition for Wootton and we look pretty good I reckon. Anything on top is a bonus. Brought the average age right down and added a lot of pace as well. Can see a lot more of ‘the model’ in everything we’ve done this summer.

Yes, I wouldn't write a player off after 45 mins at Coalville, just not as overboard as quite a few Notts fans.

He sort of did a wing-back role at times, but he was very typically the right side of an attacking 4-2-3-1 in a very advanced position, as an out and out winger with licence to swap around with Whitfield and Evans. Without watching you a lot, I'd say Nemane is more of a Rodrigues than a Boldewijn, and definitely not a Kelly-Evans*. Could work out as a wing-back, because he does track back very well, and he is quite tenacious for a little guy, but he is slight and prone to giving the ball away. Perhaps he will be used as an impact sub to terrorise tiring pub team defences.

*incidentally, if you don't need him, can we have Kelly-Evans? I liked the look of him.

Get yourself on the League 1 forum ( That is in the EFL where FC Halifax Town will never be) and meet your long lost cousin.

Has to be said, DKE now looks a long way off the first team.

I think he’ll play a lot - we’ve got a defensive (Chicksen) and attacking (Taylor) option at left wing back, and now the same on the right with DKE and Nemane. I think Burch will balance it up it up game by game with one attacking and defensive option playing, unless we want to go full hung ho. Ultimately I’m not sure DKE is a Burchnall player for the long term though.

Btw, you’ve seen more of him CaliforniaGull, but I didn’t have Nemane down as much of a Rodrigues type. Ruben isn’t quick by any means and a a bit lost out wide, but once we got him central he was just genuine quality and goals/assists in abundance.
