Get yourself on the League 1 forum ( That is in the EFL where FC Halifax Town will never be) and meet your long lost cousin.

Btw, you’ve seen more of him CaliforniaGull, but I didn’t have Nemane down as much of a Rodrigues type. Ruben isn’t quick by any means and a a bit lost out wide, but once we got him central he was just genuine quality and goals/assists in abundance.
Equally you've seen more of Rodrigues, but I meant it in terms of attack/defence balance. Like Rodrigues, Nemane ought to be the opponents half most of a game, especially when you have the ball. I guess that's going to be likely even if he plays a wing-back if you're going as gung-ho as you say you will!

PS: Apologies for interrupting B2TF with my random confirmed signings talk.

That makes sense. We were very attacking in that good run we had at the end of the season (we started that play-off semi with one centre back), but I’m guessing it might be a bit more balanced after a summer to work on it. Although I think the wing backs in a Burchnall side are more attackers than they are defenders the majority of the time.

There’s not really anywhere he fits in further up the pitch, at least as long as Roberts is fit, so I’m guessing wing back is what he’s been signed for anyway.

Happy with all the signings so far, none of them have made me "errmmm not sure about him".
I can't say that for a long time, mind Rods was that last person I did that to and he turned out okay.

Like others have said I think we could do with a tough midfielder now and I will be pleased with what we have done in the signings department. I think we have improved the squad on last seasons. I did actually think we weakened last season and so it proved.

My only issue is can we play Roberts and Rods in the same team.

Get that tongue back up Fishy's crack before he catches you talking to somebody else. He was saying something about feeling jealous...
How can i have my tongue up his arse when i am looking down on a non league nobody like you sonny. You were cannon fodder in our time down there and you will never rise above the level you are at now with your phoenix club to ever bother us again.
Brotherhood my arse. You might be in the same division as some of those clubs down there but you will never be in the same league.

He's really an embarrassment to our club. Please just put him in ignore. I can't even see what he's said and I'm embarrassed

I really hoped I wouldn’t have to put people on the ignore button after doing it for the Bolton massive, but I haven’t had the choice, my life is going to be so much better without reading his bollocks.

Don't need to show you anything except a football league table, something you can only look at from a distance.

Mine usually is soft and floppy when I'm posting on a non-league football forum but whatever floats your boat B2TF, no judgement here...

You obviously didn't see a Cal Roberts special 3 minute cameo last season then.

Well thanks for sharing that with us, I've had to watch the Miley Cyrus/Dua Lipa Prisoner video just to get that thought out of my head.

Another incoming signing for us. Sounds like it will be former Burton, Rotherham and Swindon midfielder Matt Palmer. Played a few games on loan at Wigan last year, and made almost 70 Championship apps at the age of 26. Sounds a good signing to have persuaded him to drop to NL on the face of it.

Confirmed it is Matt Palmer. We needed a central midfielder with a bit of pedigree to go with the youngsters, going to struggle to find one with a better CV than Palmer has as a National League club really. Played 35 League One games last season.

That’s probably our strongest team sorted now and all in within a few days of returning to training. Got to be happy with what we’ve done.

Feels a bit of a coup to get him to drop down here. Presume it may be because he still lives Derby way?

Yeah, location presumably a big factor, but still an impressive bit of business. Interesting bit in the Notts Post story about it - Ben Turner is mates with him from Burton and helped persuade him to join. Suggests we’re onto a good thing with the general feeling around the club if someone we’ve released is willing to do that for us.
