Dale Bennett re-signs for FGR. Been our best defender for past 2-3 seasons. Absolutely hates losing and gives 100% every game, if desire won you games then having 11 of him would guarantee an unbeaten season. Also yet to see anyone beat him for pace. Only slight negative was when that desire sometimes bubbles over into frustration if he doesn't live up to his own standards, eg. the yellow card 10mins into the Tranmere game when he kicked the ball away after mis-controlling it. But thankfully incidents like that are getting fewer and further between as he matures. Think he may be important to Coopers system.
I heard that he had gone missing and FGR had to put a reward out for him, last seen in Omar Bogle's pocket at Wembley Stadium...........

We've signed Charlie Penny who? from Dulwich Hamlet. He was on loan at Merstham last season where he scored 24 goals. Like Fabio Saraiva, he also scored against us in their 3-1 win in the Surrey Senior Cup.

We've signed Damon Lathrope from Aldershot. Fantastic signing!!

Will slot in where Racchi fit last term, and allow Youngy to play a more advanced role. Delighted with that.

If you can keep him fit I honestly think you have one of the best central midfielders in the division, although that was a struggle for us in the last couple of seasons (despite that I think I would have tried to keep him though)

We've released our goalkeeper Steve Arnold. That's 3 keepers we've released this summer.

Good shot stopper, distribution a bit lacking which will be a key thing in the total footballing side Cooper's building.

Yeah neither goal had anything to do with Dale.

And when he got switched to the centre 2nd half Boogie did the square root of f-all. Who was in who's pocket again?

Good keeper. Should have saved Carr's equalising penalty and then opted to punch two successive crosses less than six yards that resulted in Cameron Norman's last minute winner.

Thanks for the memories Steve.

Maybe Cooper's planning on playing without a goalkeeper. Now that really IS showing a commitment to total football.

Really think we should go for Arnold, he was one of the most entertaining parts of our dire performance against FGR away (from a fans POV anyway) but local still a good keeper with experience even if he does have a mistake in him.

You're doing with Merstham what we did with Redditch last season and look how that went.

Definitely a good keeper. Distribution a bit sketch but otherwise thought he was excellent.

Adam Walker, James Armson and Gaz Dean have all left the Moors to sign for Brackley. Dean is a huge loss :ffs:

Yep, obviously we know what he can do - he was a key cog in our run to the L2 Playoff Final 5 years ago. I'm hoping these injury issues are behind him now!

What type of player is he? He's a bigger name than I was expecting. Blissett, Williams and Harrad should give us some options.

Lazy striker, but a proven goalscorer at this level. Will frustrate your fans, do nothing for 80 mins then pop up out of nowhere. If you play him up the middle (unlike FGR who stuck him on the wing), you'll have a 20 goal a season striker.

Williams has always appeared to be quite lazy when playing against Macc but the Aldershot/FGR fans will be able to give you a better opinion. I really like Blissett though, he has always given our centre backs a hard time.

Damn! I was really hoping he would come back here. Only issue with Williams is his work rate but I couldnt care less because he scores goals at this level!
