L2 (and L1) salary cap proposals to be sent out to all owners by no later than Monday apparently.
salary caps can mean many things do you know any of the detail? For example, are we talking about all sides have the same lump sum they can spend if they want or are we talking about a percentage of revenue? if the former this penalises self-sufficient sides and allows those who have debt to potentially bring in more debt.

All I've seen (source was the lads who cover Coventry on Twitter) was that they were being sent proposals by Monday. I'm sure hard caps or a harder soft cap (if you'd excuse the oxymoron) are going to be the two ideas proposed. The current system may also remain but with certain caveats to stop bankrolling.

I don't know what I'd favour in all honesty. If any hard cap (£1.5-2 million mooted for L2) was adopted in either division we'd be well below it. But I think the current soft cap system is ridiculous and prone to abuse through loopholes.

Perhaps there's a hybrid where clubs will first be limited to spend a certain percentage of their revenue first and foremost and also mustn't exceed a fixed sum of £2 million. In effect, this would stop Morecambe from being able to have a £2 million wage budget and they'd be forced to operate at a lower level with regard to their income. But I don't know how practical such an arrangement would be.

If we think the League One bickering about completing the season is bad, wait till all the clubs get round to discuss salary caps...

I don't mind playoffs - at least the promotion would be sorted on the field.

The only downside is we'll probably be a couple of players down - Ben Tozer, our captain, has tweeted today that he's concerned about playing as his wife is due to give birth in just over 4 weeks so he doesn't want to risk anything. And who can blame him? Alfie May is also in a similar boat.

Dave Artell and some non league managers have a big feeling they'll be reprieved. I'm doubtful they'll be relegated myself, even though they bloody well deserve to be.

If only 3 come down from L1 and only 1 come up from the NL to replace Steve/Mac, does that only leav3 23 in L2

I'm pretty certain there'll be relegation. But it could be up in the air if Macc get points deducted...

Funny how the EFL waited all this time to deduct Macc's points, it's like they want rid of them!

If they had chucked Mac before all this their results would have been expunged from this season’s results.

They tried to deduct more points, easier to just relegate us than confront the issue of unfit owners in the EFL.

If you are having promotion you have to have relegation, surely Notlob and Southend can’t get out of it?

They just can’t be arsed for the legal action that will clearly come from any relegated sides.

This is for L2 and the NL.

If it's been agreed for four L2 clubs to go up, then 3 will be coming down from L1 so it's just because of the EFL / NL thing.

If the FL had got their way then last week's deduction would have been big enough to relegate us. It was only the disciplinary commission themselves who said that would be too harsh. They also decided that we shouldn't be punished further for outstanding late payments.

Not that it really matters anymore if there's no relegation...

I know, but if Stevenage stay does this not strengthen the hand of Bolton and Southend?

Potentially, but with it being EFL to NL and not no relegation within the same structure, I'm not sure it'd hold as much water.

All that said, as I've just posted in the NL forum, the FA took no relegation off the table from the PL to EFL so if they're consistent, they'll also reject no relegation calls from the EFL to NL as well.

I hope the names of the 20 come out. I’d be very disappointed if we are one of them.
