According to The Times - The FA have said no relegation and null and void will be vetoed by them. Even though that was written in a PL/Championship context, you can assume it'll apply for all the professional divisions.

Even if L1 and L2 isn't played to a conclusion, I have a feeling PPG is going to be the likely resolution to solve the season.

Us Vale fans are going to be so gutted if the season isn’t completed. We’ve had a great season on the back of our takeover; making the play offs would’ve been the perfect ending.

Must be - particularly as you’ve proved yourself against so many of the better teams. Just got to hope you can keep the majority of that side together and crack on whenever it starts up again. There’s some right old shit coming down so I’ll have you in my season’s bet!

Most of the side have been tied down to new contracts which is something brand new to us as we have never, ever signed players up to new contracts before the summer!

We need a proper goal scorer and I think we could have a decent go at it, if/when the next season ever begins.

Unlikely as it might seam to Vale fans Scott Quigley may end up as top scorer in L2 next season (assuming we eventually come up)

I'm talking hypothetically but I do believe the Top 3 as they were would've run off with it in the end because they didn't draw many games and they knew how to grind out wins. Cheltenham would've been the best of the rest. Their form was good but I don't think they'd have overtaken us 3 unless they went on a mad winning run. Whereas Exeter were nosediving, Colchester and Vale were dropping points and Northampton's bad start had them playing catch up for most the season. It's what has separated us 3 from the 4 solid but more draw-happy teams (and Northampton who lost considerably more games than us 3) behind us all season.

Playoffs would've been interesting. Money would've been on a Cheltenham-Vale final. But we'll never know...

Unbelievable given what little we saw of him was total garbage. Haven’t you got Dior Angus as well? Saw very little of him but I thought he looked like he had something.

Yep Quigley, Angus (who is very very quick) and Lewis Hardcastle.

Hearing now, L1 and L2 to be decided on home and away ppg - then combined to reach a total.

4 up from L2 - Swindon, Crewe, Plymouth and Cheltenham
1 down - Stevenage
1 up - Barrow

3 down from L1 - Southend, Bolton and Tranmere
3 up from L1 - Coventry, Rovrum and Poxford

PL and Championship to be played out BCD

Will more than likely be 2 up from the NL as L2 would have 23 clubs otherwise given Bury went bust. So Harrogate look set for L2 as well.

Yeah. Could be. All depends, also, on what clubs are still around whenever the next season starts.

We could all be in the Championship!

Cheltenham fans will be glad to know our scuffed equaliser against Exeter on March 3rd just before the suspension of the league has effectively won them promotion as had Exeter won that game, Cheltenham wouldn't have gone above them in PPG.

After denying Cheltenham promotion in 2012, we've now pretty much helped them get promoted in 2020...

We’d have fancied winning the play offs with our record against the top 10 (although football never works like that does it!)

But I’m confident we will be up there again, our form post Xmas was right up there and we’ve managed to tie much of the squad down already and have more financial stability (long time since we could say that!) than most at this level.

Yep Quigley, Angus (who is very very quick) and Lewis Hardcastle.

Different level, Quigley didn’t get a look in last season in the worst Vale side (joint) in our history in a season where we couldn’t score goals.

Maybe he would of done better in this more creative side under better management but nothing a saw would suggest any of the three would stand out at L2 level. Angus is one id like to see come good he didn’t get a look in and may have offered something.

To put it into context in that same side last season Ricky Miller got about 4 league goals (2 of them in the same game) and he hit 40 odd in the National League in a season!

Non league players get found out at this level. Clubs promoted into this division, particularly smaller ones, have to strengthen significantly before they can really compete. That's assuming we get a 'normal' L2 next season of course.

No offence - but Barrow fans won't be taking advice from fans of an EFL team who signed Jacob Blyth after the season he had with us last year in the Natrional league...

Ok maybe you can take it from us then. We were promoted what six years ago, had a great cup run but fell apart from February onwards and finished 19th.

It’s a tough league. Don’t underestimate it. Mid table would be a hell of an achievement for Barrow.

We'd happily take that as long as Carlisle were 1 place below us...

You finally have a rival/derby, you should be over the moon.
In a way I’m pleased for barrow. This corona pandemic came at just the right time, they were about to blow their lead but now they’ve been spared the humiliation of one of the biggest bottle jobs in recent years and may even be gifted a promotion to the football league.

It’s also great to see chipmunk has already crowned them 20/21 League 2 champions and presented Scott Quigley with the golden boot.

Why the fuck are people like Dan Ashworth, who is clearly business oriented and knows naff all behind the game. given a pedestal to spout such shite?

Thing is, given they've acquired 25,000 new fans in the last decade, I bet Brighton fans are in favour of it, forgetting where they came from in the first place...

Won't happen surely?
Just musing. Say ten teams in the three EFL leagues go bust and cannot provide a team. Can you see the PL saying, “we can help you out, rather than lose a league.”

Depending on the breakdown of which leagues the 10 clubs were in, I’d just promote equal number from the league below.

If all 10 were in, say, L2 the I really don’t know. Lose a league and expand the remaining 2 leagues to take 5 extra clubs each. Be 5 extra Matchday income streams.
