Notts confirmed they got it but other clubs have not. This is actually worse than local county junior leagues when dealing with junior football. I spent 7 years coaching and pulling my hair out with FAs and leagues but at least they sent things out promptly.

It really is, I coached my daughter's team in the YEL a few years ago and always found the FA and League to be pretty on the ball. They certainly sorted fixtures and re-arrangements out in an orderly manner. Never heard of some clubs not being sent paperwork. How hard can it be to send a recorded letter to each club in a timely manner?

Fairness requires the same rules for all our members National, North and South. Sporting Integrity demands proper sporting outcomes. That means promotion for the professionals that have worked hard for 34 plus games to get to the top of their leagues.

Sounds like we're definitley throwing our names into the hat for York etc.

It's all very well saying that but it isnt the same rules if the north and south are only going to promote and not relegate. Which they are

that's down to the FA ratifying that steps 3-7 were null and voided though - nothing to do with the NL.

I'm not disputing that. The rules arent fair for all divisions though because of that. Many journalists and clowns on twitter keep preaching this fairness throughout the divisions speech. When it is flawed straight away

12 clubs can't afford £8333.33 each for a shot at promotion?

They don't want it enough, Clive.

A fan would just loan that to the club if that was us.

Queens Park FC raised more than that for a presentation evening.

(For those not familiar I'm talking about an amateur team based in Wrexham, not the side who play at Hampden Park).

You do realise that this is just a little bit of money to help? It's not the entire cost of competing in the play-offs. Not even close.

Sounds like Queens Park FC are in better shape financially than Wrexham then...

Fair enough - this must be even more tedious for a Wrexham fan, given your season ended in about October.
I wish it had, we've been in a relegation battle and I genuinely think we would've gone down if it wasn't for the pandemic.

Will the NL be approaching BT Sport to get TV coverage of the step 2 playoffs?

They have to be shown somewhere surely?

BBC reporting that the playoffs will start on July 18th!!! Is this a misprint or have they got information from somewhere. I thought they had to be started "by" then but surely it doesnt need that long wait?

In our statement it says that they have to be started by then, and finished by the end of July.

I’d say two weeks after teams return to training would probably be enough time. Just thought that us and Harrogate are at a bit of a disadvantage now too as we’ll be playing teams with a competitive game under their belts.

Then again, compare squads, town have retained the vast majority of the squad with no furloughing. Arguably more invested in coaching staff and methods too. Doubt it will impact too much in light of this. That said arranging warm up friendlies could be difficult. Maybe town will play York if city get the nod for play offs.

Mental tho to think that after this length of lay off they will have a few weeks prep for the biggest games of the season with so much riding on it.
